Everyone, please say a prayer for my son Jamie. He is in the hospital facing surgery this afternoon. My son and I were cleaning a screen room in Tampa, and a large bird flew on my Son's forearm and bit him. His arm swelled up as big as his leg, and we took him to the hospital. He has a really bad infection, and they are giving him last chance antibiotics before amputation. They are going to operate today to lance the abcess, in hopes of saving his arm from amputation.

The loss of my Son has economically crippled our company, and is taking it's toll on me emotionally.

I never heard of such a thing?

I will certainly pray for the best outcome for your son!

I know if it happened to my son today, I would be in shock and soon be facing serious financial difficulty!

I am freaked out, and just an emotional wreck over what happened to my Son. It was a freak accident, the bird was a Pet, and never bit anone before. Still, our customer should have caged the bird, since we had a cleaning appointment at her home in Tampa that day! Because of her failure to protect us from this Bird, my Son may lose his arm! Plus, don't forget hundreds of thousands of dollars in medical bills. I have contacted a personal injury lawyer in Tampa. I hate to Sue a customer, and never have before.

You have no choice! You need a lawyer!

That's what home insurance is for!

We had no choice but to seek medical help the very next morning. He did have the chills from fever that night, and it started swelling about 5 hours after the bite. I have a great lawyer all over this, and rightfully so. This is exactly what homeowners insurance is for.

My Son is barely 30 years old, and may lose his arm. Plus, his credit will be ruined with all kinds of medical bills that are not his fault.

It's awful news, Chris.  I'm shocked just reading about it.

It often amazes me -- we can plan and prepare for things so well, even things in the periphery, but then we're blindsided on some idle Tuesday by something we had nothing to do with or couldn't have expected.  It just makes you shake your head.

I'm sorry to hear it, Chris, but I am hopeful.

My wife and I will pray for Jamie and for you and your family as you deal with the worry and emotions of it all.  If there's a way I can help you, in addition to prayer, let me know.

What you posted, made me think of a bible verse Eccleiastes 9:11

I know MEN DON'T TALK ABOUT THE BIBLE, but I do sometimes and it never scares me off.
