I have been using the Green Wash for several months now. I have a new saying. "If your not using Green Wash your just pouring money down the roof." The Green Wash works. I am using way less SH than was when I used Amonyx Lo, Dawn, Laundry Soap etc, and I was also using the Green Apple (which is very expensive) for scent back then.. My typical mix is in a 65 gallon tank. I mix 12 gallons SH, 50 Gallons of water and 48 ounces of Green Wash. This mix has cleaned some really black dark stained roofs. If I am doing a house wash after a roof I just add a few more gallons of water to the mix to dilute it a little bit and this seems to work great. Even on brick.
The Green Wash IMO sticks to the roof much better and I have way less run off than when I was using Amonyx or Dawn or others. Another nice thing about it is I only have one contianer to carry around and mix with, and I use way less of it than I was using with other products.
I highly recommend you try the Green Wash if you haven't yet. I have tried a lot of different products in my Roof Mix and have always found it to be the best option for value and performance.
Anybody else out there tried it yet???????

Yes, myself and another member here tried it at the same time and neither of us thought it was as good as Ammonyx.I tried it on tile and shingles. It doesn't have the "sticktoitiveness" of Ammonyx.Maybe you should compare again?
I put a lot of calculations and effort into my testing. Using an equal $ amount worth of each product, $10.00 worth of the Green Wash runs like water in a 100 gallon mix. 3/4 gallon of ammonyx lo in a 100 gallon mix doesn't. That's about 10 bucks worth. If the smell is a big factor, of course, you would do better with more $ worth of Green Wash, than you would be in buying expensive apple scent!Covering SH smell with apple scent is very costly!

Doug, you have some brass balls. After what happened to you with the bleach wash I'm surprised you would "try out" the green wash.
That all worked out great. Sometimes things you try work sometimes they don't. Either way I always like to share my findings with others. The Green Wash I tried on my house, which I should have done w the Powdered Bleach. I actually did some side by side comparisons w Green Wash, Amonyx Lo, Dawn. Three different mixes. Everytime the Green Wash cleaned better using less SH and IMO stuck better. I have on occasion even tried Amonyx again but always go back to the Green Wash. Been using it steadily now since about April.
Hey Doug,..that turned out GREAT for you considering the circumstances. But I truly believe that if you were here in Pa or NY or anywhere in the northeast the scenario would have been different,..I feel confident in my assumption that the calvary would not have been so willing to come to the rescue with equipment. You most likely steered others away from a disaster by posting up those pictures of the mess you and the CH made.
IMO opinion "the Cavalry" would have jumped on an airplane, flew to NY or PA, rented equip and took care of it, or done anything else they needed to do to remedy the situation. That opinion is purely based on time spent with Michael when he was here "rescuing" me from the mess I made and listening to and sharing business ideas and procedures over a quick dinner while we waited for the roof to dry out.
And Yes everyone will have an opinon about the use of surfactants and other products. And that's all I am trying to do, is share my opinion about my use of the Green Wash and see if others have used/tried it.

Not the Green Wash,.. As for the bleach wash,..which is just CH,..yes I've used it alot and have done more roofs than probably anyone here with it. If you're asking me if I'm gonna buy overpriced CH,...well I don't think I even need to answer that.

I've tried 5 gallons of the Green Wash. It works better than just plain SH and surfactant yes, but not any better than my personal APPLE CIDER SAUCE mixture.
I did notice if I added it to my mixture it works better, but spending $119 / 5 gallons is more than I want to spend and not as cost effective as using my other additives.
Plus, like Chuck said it's too thin for steep roofs and I prefer the Apple Butter, or Eel snot as I like to call it. LOL!

Agreed Doug. I just met Michael Hinderliter last week, though I have talked to him for a few months. I do NOT blame him for the failure of the bleach powder. He is simply a distributor that bought a product he trusted to work as advertised. When it did not, he tried his best to fix the damage, and pulled it from the market. He is stuck with enough of it to open a pool supply company.
By the way Doug, WHAT Green wash are your using, the stuff Michael has, or the new stuff ?

I always get it from Delux because the shipping is cheap to me from Dallas. Once they run out or don't carry it I will look into the other distributors that will be carrying and make sure it is still cost effective w the shipping price. Not aware of any 'new' stuff,
Had 30 gallons of roof mix left over after a job I did last Friday. Helper mixed up to much at the end. I was able to use it today on house wash I did. 5 days later. Never had mix last that long and now that is twice I have been able to get 5 days out of my mix since I started using the Green Wash.
