Seems I am having a run of homeowners who do not want the roof cleaned but only the siding.

Two questions.

1.  How do you price siding.  I have been guestamating the amount of time it will take us and charging $125 per hour.

2. Not a big fan of SH on siding, mostly for the plants but what do most of you guys use?  I have been using a 10% mix.

I've been using about 3-4 gals per 100 gal of house mix.....It's been working for me so far no problems, just wet down what you don't want it to clean....You will be alright, always water plants if they are to come into contact with solution. hope that helps

If you are doing a roof for, Lets say $400 and you tell them you will do ther whole house for $ 200 there gonna doit. I run 20-25% But most of the time im to lazy to switch tanks i do the 1st coat on the roof and find my self just going for it. But only on vinyel siding it don't work on aulim. I spray roof mix on 1 side let sit for 5 min then rince for 10 min by the time im done the house i need verry little for the 2nd coat on the roof never killed a bush but still feel a little funny abought it would not doit with the roof mix on a prize winning landscape if you know what i mean. but most of the time if i have 3 for the day ill say no can't doit.

I charge between 12 and 20 cents per square foot.

We use SH and downstream it through our pressure washer, but I'd say use just enough SH to where it takes a few minutes to remove the dirt/mold, etc.. 10% is probably fine, but you may be able to use less to save $$ and reduce risk of plant damage.

10% is very weak for softwashing? confuse

A commercial pressure washing machines chemical injector puts more than that out.

I suggest 20% and just keep the plants watered down.

We use a 1.5 to 2% SH mixture hiting the house. Make you mix have that kind of active ingredient and you will be fine. We mix 3.5 gallons in a 5 gallon bucket and have a 20% injector. That gives us about a 1.75% active ingredient hitting the house. It cleans everything but stucco. Know the mix that will clean and you will be fine.
