Can someone tell me how most of a reel is made of alluminum but the main part is iron?

My reel is a hanney the hole you see in the pic is dug out gonna take some j-b weld and a dime and see if that works.

if not has anyone takeing the whole thing apart?

this sucks and that was 1 of 4 things that went wrong in 1 day no

Not sure if that's gonna work Dano but give it a shot. That chit happens to us every year. And yes we just take it apart..

That is the exact same thing that happened to me on my Titan reel, PITA! I just replaced the reel.

Can't you just tak weld that..... It wont last forever....But i'm sure it would hold up for a few.
