I've only used this pump on 6 roofs. Today I was going to softwash some really bad siding with it. The Pump ran untill it primed and got pressure. At first it only shot 15 feet then it dwindled down to 2 feet. The pump would turn on every 10 seconds for about 2 seconds. That is even with no tip on it at all. I have an accumulator tank on it also if that matters.
Is it the pressure sensor or the relay?
Thanks, David

I'm not sure if this is the case or not, I had something like this happen to me before and after an extended period of process of elimination I found out the battery wasn't charged enough. It was in the OK range on the charger but not enough to run the pump.
I'm still banging my head wondering why anyone keeps using these 12volts for anything other than transfering chems... It sounds like the pressure switch to me. Did you try fine tuning it at thye allen screw just under the pressure switch?

Ya, that will be my next one. All these relay problems with these FatBoys and the manufacturer does nothing about it. They don't deserve any more of my bussiness.

Wellll.... you won't believe what the problem was.
I had a 5 gallong bucket with SH and I added maybe 1 to 2 cups of MO I got from Don at Branerd. Then I decided what the heck and I added a capful of laundry detergent. I was downstreaming it and I wasn't getting enough chemical. Hardly any. So I decided to use the fat boy and shoot it on the siding without diluting it...lol. The chit was way to thick. I ran it and molasses thick stuff started coming out. After a couple minutes it started spraying like normal. Silly me. I think I will just stick with what I have been doing for 20 years and quit messing with something that already works.

If you are using a late model truck , it probably came with a rv type connector for the trailer , most of the time there is a lead on the reciever part thats on your truck designed to charge a battery on camper . Simply find that lead and wire it to the battery for your sprayer , driving down the road your charging your battery .

Hoover, Pentaflex is the way to go.. my guys beat the heck out of these things all day...the best part is you can run as small as a 1515 tip and it will not cycle on and off and kill the motor. 4030 is our normal spray tip size and it runs like a charm. 0050 will shoot over the house with 5/8 hose.
