Chuck Bergman No Pressure Roof Cleaning, also Pressure Washing in Englewood, Rotonda, Venice, Port Charlotte, Punta Gorda, North Port, Boca Grande and all of Charlotte and Southern Sarasota Counties in Florida.
We specialize in the cleaning of roofs and offer the newest and only "approved" [ by the roofing association ] " NO PRESSURE " roof cleaning system. If you have an asphalt or fiberglass shingled roof DO NOT HAVE IT PRESSURE WASHED! For asphalt shingle roofs, this system is a must and can add years to your expensive roof's life and will not void your roo warranty, like pressure washing it can! Pressure cleaning a shingled roof removes a large percentage of the granules, that make up the surface and color of your roof. Even tile roofs benefit from our "NO PRESSURE" system, in that high pressure will send small pieces of tile and especially the cement holding your ridges in place, off into space! Also, if you have a finish on your tile roof, such as a solid paint coat or a glazing, high pressure can peel the paint or dull the glazing. Many Pressure Washers advertise "NO PRESSURE" but don't actually own the equipment. They simply use their pressure washing machine's chemical injector and end up using "SOME" pressure anyway and explaining [ if you see them do it ] that they turned the pressure way down. "You can not turn a pressure washer down enough to not blow the granules off your shingles"
Any pressure will remove much of your asphalt shingle granules! Click below to go to the roofing manufacturers association and read for yourself it's simple clear statement about pressure- "HIGH PRESSURE WASHING SYSTEMS FOR ALGAE REMOVAL SHOULD NOT BE USED" http://www.asphaltroofing.org/pdf/tb_217.pdf
Of course, we do have state of the art pressure washing equipment as well for houses, pool enclosures, decks, driveways etc. In fact, with our many years of experience, we have found that a pressure washer that puts out a larger flow of water [5.6 GPM] and less actual pressure 2000 - 2500 psi, gets the job done better than a higher blasting pressure [3000 to 4000 lbs is common] and lower water flow [4 GPM] or less. On all but roofing, pressure is needed, so we also have a 3500 psi and a 2500psi machine with us at all times to use as needed.
Another reason to hire us to clean your roof is- You may see competitors who say they are "Plant Friendly" WE TOP THAT! WE EITHER WATER CONSTANTLY [which is the best] OR COVER ALL OF YOUR PLANTS WITH TARPS, or some of each. That's as "PLANT FRIENDLY" as it gets in this business! Because this offers the maximum protection! Then we also water plants too tall to cover and any areas we feel extra watering would benefit. Many of my competitors just rinse plants off as they go or when they finish. Often, this results in dead leaves a few days later, or dead plants.
My son has worked continuously with me since 1994 and is a licensed professional along with myself.
So, if you have a Black Algae on your Roof that needs removing, whether for:
#1. Health reasons: Respiratory ailments are adversely affected by the airborne mold spores. #2. To stop the deterioration of the roof: algae eats constantly. #3. Aesthetics: Many beautiful homes have their appearance spoiled by black, discolored roofs. #4. Because your homeowners association requires it.
Give us a call! You will be glad you did and your neighbors will be thankful!

Pressure Washing Of House Exteriors
With proper maintenance, your home can grow in value while being a source of pride for you and your family. Chuck Bergman Pressure Cleaning is a pressure washing contractor who services Charlotte and Sarasota County Florida and provides cleaning services to homeowners who wish to restore and protect their greatest investment -- their home.
Keeping the exterior of your home clean can do more than just make your house more appealing. It can also increase its value and extend the life of the products used to cover the outside of your home, which can save you thousands of dollars in repair costs. House washing services are very affordable, especially when you consider the benefits of pressure washing your home in terms of future savings for home maintenance.
You can certainly attempt to power wash your home yourself, but If you do not have the proper equipment, know which cleaning products are right for the job, or know how to safely operate a power washer without causing damage to your home, it may be in your best interest to hire a licensed and insured cleaning contractor instead.
Cleaning Vinyl or Aluminum Siding
Vinyl siding cleans up with very little pressure needed. However, certain steps should be taken to ensure the work lasts for extended periods of time. One of the misconceptions about pressure washing houses covered with vinyl siding is that a simple cleansing is all that's required. This is not true and if your main reason for cleaning the house is to remove mildew, then you will soon find out that simply Pressure Washing The House was only a temporary fix as the mildew will usually return within under a year, especially in our warm, damp climate, here in SW Florida.
To keep the siding looking new for longer periods of time, a wax mix can be added to the cleaning process which will help the vinyl resist the growth of mildew as well as reduce the amount of dirt that sticks to the siding. Adding the wax as a 3rd step in the cleaning process will save you money in the long run.It will also protect the vinyl siding from the outdoor Florida elements. No different than applying wax to your car to protect the finish. You wouldn't want to skip that step for too long or the finish will start to look discolored and everything that touches it sticks, that is the same thing that happens to your home.
Not just any wax mixture is beneficial. With our 23 years experience here in Charlotte and Sarasota County Florida, in the pressure cleaning business, we have obtained the best formula, for each individual home's exterior!
Cleaning for Concrete Driveways, Walkways and Sidewalks
Cleaning concrete is one of the tasks that can change your "Curb Appeal" quite literally! Concrete is very porous which allows dirt and other debris to bed deep into the concrete, resulting in a situation where high powered commercial pressure washing machines, as well as professional concrete cleaning machines are the only sure means of removal.
Pool Decks & Screened Enclosures
Pool areas can definitely be safely and effectively cleaned. Not only can the nasty cobwebs and bug debris be cleaned from the nylon mesh, but also the green & black mildew / fungus and algae can be removed from the metal framework as well.
Our father and son "ONLY" business, licensed and insured to clean in Charlotte and Sarasota County Florida, accomplis this cleaning task with low to medium pressure by using special "long reach" wands, when needed, along with pressure adjusting valves and tips. Carefully "water sweeping" the mesh clean of debris after using a mild chemical solution to dissolve the organic mold and algae staining right off the metal frame's surface. It's as safe and easy as that!
Roof Cleaning
Undoubtedly, the roof is the most expensive portion of your home! WARNING! Roofing should not be cleaned with the use of a pressure washer! The roofing manufacturers themselves have given specific instructions on their websites, on how to properly clean their roofing materials and all those I have found links to, say one thing in common. "DO NOT PRESSURE WASH ROOFING" Read directly from a number of manufacturer links here on our website. You may be shocked, if you have allowed anyone to use a pressure washer on your roof in the past!
