Hey chuck, I played around with nearly all the web design programs and despite them all saying they were "easy" I found all of them to be difficult to produce a nice looking site. I'm of the viewpoint now that it's just worth spending the money to have a pro do it for you. Kinda like handing your equipment to the homeowner and letting them spray their roof themselves! Something's bound to get messed up! I've seen that if you shop around you can get a pretty nice site made and optimized for around $600. If you still want to try yourself then I found coffee cup site visualizer to be the easiest of the do it yourself software plus it's a free download!

 I totally agree, Blogspot Roof Cleaning Blogs are free, and can be made to do the job quite well! Plus, most RCIA Members have one, and it is so easy for us to link up to each other.

 

I recently found a guy I really like. He's $ 35 a month. He will do your logo, site, Includes hosting any change you want any time. I have got some help with
content from Bill Booz, scott at confident, Bruce and Chris. Which I really appreciate. There is still some tweaking to do but I am chomping at the bit to start.
My guy says that I dont have any pictures that will work for the home page. Apparently my digital cam isnt up to snuff. I would appreciate any thoughts on
the site or suggestions for pic's. Hope you dont mind me posting this on this stream Chuck. My web guy is very helpful there is no upfront costs.
(actually its $1 to start)

At the moment at least? I think for now, I'll take the Ugly and Chris advice and see if I can figure out how to make nice looking blogs like they have!

Now, to learn how to use Blogspot to the full????

I wish I was younger and computer / internet literate.

It would be nice to know my way around - it would be nice to be young anayway!!!

I wore myself out, working out in the sun today, but I'm going to try to improve my Blogspot over the weekend.

All Websites have monthly hosting fees, as far as I know. I pay $20 a month for one of mine. Plus $40- $120 every time I add something or change any thing. I love Scott's Site but it was pretty nice before he changed it so the guy had a pretty good palate to work with. I told the guy before I started with him, "So you mean I could have you do my logo, build my site, get everything going and then leave for someone else for hosting". He said , "yep, But we find most people appreciate us and see the value in our service and stay with us."
I have sent lists of changes and lots of nitpicky changes and he comes back everytime within hours.
I dont know anything about blogs, I will have to get to that later. I think this guy is in Texas. His last e-mail said "I am available by phone to all my clients till 10:00 pm.
He also gaurantees page 1 on google. but that costs $300 a month. I'm pretty illiterate myself computer wise but I have had a crash course in bad website people and so far I'm impressed with this one. In the end, it only costs a buck to find out if you like him.
