If she has gutters you can collect 100% of the runoff. If she doesn't, offer to add a little SH to her well. Either way, she wins!
And you won't charge extra for the Shock Chlorination Water Treatment for her well!!!
If she doesn't go for that than explain to her that the black stuff is a living, breathing, microscopic organism on her roof. Pressure washing it to get rid of it is like trying to squish a flea in between your fingers, it just don't work.

It's interesting to see all of the differences in thoughts. Thanks everyone.
I didn't mention this, it's only the garage that they want done. The rest of the shake roof on the main structure was replaced just a few years ago. Small job, heavy on labor/effort. I'll actually go take a look at this one and go from there.
Actually the labor shouldnt be much at all especially for just the garage. Like Mike said, hit it with a percard, and light pressire wash it. Neutralize, let it dry and seal it.
With that bucket truck how labor intensive could it be? Loan me your truck and I'll come up there and knock it out in half a day....
That's my point exaclty - half a days work at "pressure washer" rates? No thanks. To do the job properly would mean two trips there for starters ie $$. I'm going to drop by there next time I'm in the area, yet I highly suspect this lady is looking for a guy with a HD PW to blast it clean for $250. She specifically requested it be PW'd, nothng more. We'll see.
David - you really should have done shingle roofs when you lived here - you would have liked it I promise!!
I know. I was definitely getting bored with decks. I even had customers ask me if I did roofs. Tempted to move back up there even with all that traffic! I miss the money.
Why would it take 2 trips?

Business stinks here. Don't come back LOL.
They'd need to be dry before they could be stained/sealed, eg repeat trip. I'd hoped to stop by the property today to take a look. Just wasn't in the cards. Maybe tomorrow since they're calling for rain and I didn't schedule any jobs.
