Anyone herd of yellow duck roof cleaning? I spoke with the guy the other day to see what he was offering. Honestly, I'm not sure what he is doing different than the rest of you but he wants 30,000.00 for his slide in truck rig not including the truck but you do get his special mix recipe whatever that intails. They rinse every roof for the immediate gratification and vegitation is very much a concern so i can't imagine his mix strays to far from sh. Anyway i cannot afford his start up price but just wanted to see if he was doing anything different. Aso he says they never walk a roof and he manufactures his own pump.
Hello Julie,..hang out here and read some. You can get a roof rig rolling with a small fraction of that,..especially if you already have a truck/trailer or whatever for a work vehicle.

I think you can get everything you need here at RCIA for a LOT less.
Thanks, from what i've read already it does seem like i can build my own rig much cheaper i just was curious as to what they are doing or what pump they have that is different than what you guys use, he said they do everything from the ladder and i mentioned the information i have learned on RCIA and he said the homes he can do from a ladder you guys would have to use man lifts and by not rinsing the h/o is dissatisfied with the quality of your work and having a light rain is devastating to thier expensive landscaping. Also he said they only target 70,000 plus a year income areas.
I am in ohio which is where the owner of yellow duck originated and then relocated to memphis.
What do you all think about AC's soft wash products and are they redily available just thinking about using dry chems and homeowners water on site if i used a van rig.
I have an f250 we use to plow with in the winter but 11 miles to the gallon and she isn't the prettiest thing.
At the end of last season i did some drop off mailers for gutter cleaning about 100 i'd say and a paper add but didn't get a single call.
I want to eventually do gutters, roofs and all exterior cleaning but don't want to make any costly mistakes, i have been trying to get insurance qotes and am thinking i should leave out the roof cleaning part and just tell them exterior cleaning as it seems they don't want to insure any business to do with the roof and especially one that is just starting up.
Julie there is a thread on the bleach powder. I think they have suspended selling the product until some problems are resolved. My guess is that it will not come back.
Julie on a different subject. How about some information regarding the fall protection thread you started. You mentioned getting some pictures up.

Reguarding the fall protection he basically made some for prototypes and he is working on the legalities such as pantents ect. also compensating for different roof designs but as soon as i have more information i will send it your way. I guess i jumped to soon b/c it is such a great product but further design and testing should be completed by May.
Coming up with a name has been a real challenge. I saw another company "The Grimescene" so i take it his last name is Grimes to but thought that was a cool one. It's funny how last names are similar to the type of businesses people have.
