Last fall when I first got started cleaning roofs I found a realtor magazine with listings. I sent out a mass e-mail to all the realtors in the magazine (63 total) letting them know about my non pressure roof cleaning business. I got two responses. Sealed one deal last year, the other said wait till spring and maybe we can talk.
In the meantime, I did a little research, found out this guy is owner of the realtor firm with 20-25 agents working there. E-mailed him a month ago without a response. E-mailed him last week and he asked for a demo and a quote. I went out and did a demo spot (right in the middle of his house). He wasn't home, so I stopped back by the demo spot looks AMAZING! All I could do was laugh as I drove up. Met with his wife, she told me how good it looked and they were pretty shocked at the results. Went on to say her husband told her about the e-mails last year, this year and thanked me for following-up. Then asked that I make the whole roof lool like the demo spot asap. hah
Why cant you Kim? How awesome would that be? Then send someone by the next day to ask "hey I was just driving by and noticed you had a big clean spot and figured I'd let you know that, while I don't know who threw that balloon at your roof, we can clean the rest!!"
Sorry that was off subject, but seriously who is willing to try it?
That's great. It shows that persistence pays off. Now you should go do 19-24 more demos for all the realtors and you could have that many more jobs. Then once they see it and believe they will recomend you for all their properties.
Jon
Edit: WOW. I am an idiot, I didn't read the title before I posted that

Nice Job Mike! What I would love to do is fill ballons with the mix and hit peoples roofs with em!
Can't but would love to. Kim R

That's a frickin great idea!!! Just drive through some neighborhoods flingin balloons on peoples roofs along with baggie in the driveway. You are now creating a need :)
Haha that is a good idea. However, I will let someone else try it first. I did clean two roofs yesterday and both of them said they loved the rock in the baggie idea.
Or use the balloon for your demo so you don't have to climb up on the roof
Now there's a great way to do a demo with some theatrics! Stand in the yard and throw the balloon! No ladder, no pump sprayer... just damn well be able to make it to the roof and burst! Having it roll to the bushes and burst would suck!
