that ladder is not at the proper climing angle. it could slip out then with it is to far from the house. if you stand on the bottom rung your arms should reach the rungs standing strait up with testing the climbing angle.

OH, Hello Mr. Osha inspector. Incorrect angle on the ladder? Thats Ok, I got my own lil rule about ladders and angles. What??? $3000.00 fine. But with stand-offs things are different, aren't they???   Where does it say that???

Just trying to help you out before this happens.

I agree with you, however his Ok for being in the first level and I think he'll not use the same angle with the ladder full extended.

He's not using a harness and a safety line and he'll be nut's if he don't use it cleaning the same roof 100ft above ground level.

They go bad like everything else. 3 dollars, just keep spares on the truck like everything else. Had the chem line bust yesterday too. Made a quick fix and kept going.

Certain spares should be kept on hand. I'm even getting a backup 12 volt Delavan this year. Bought another trailer a week ago. It is bigger than the trailer I have now. The trailer will have a tool box, with back up delavan, hose clamps, nozzles, everything I can think of to make repairs onsite and keep moving.

Gary I dont like pulling 3,4 or even all 5 of my ladders, that stay on truck, off on a job. I use as few ladders as possable. That angle was pushing it. My guys are good with ladders.

I know what can and cant be done with ladders.

The most important thing here, period, is that stand offs were used. I see so many pics of guys leaning ladders agains gutters...

Someone else said we didnt use harnesses??? WTF? lol!!!

I hope the bashing of my vids are over, and that some guys see the difference between ball valves and what we use.

Mike; I'm just trying to keep you out of trouble. If you think the OSHA Rep. is going to buy the excuse you just posted, well all I an say is GOOD LUCK. When you're talking to him (the OSHA rep), why not show him the vids of your guys sliding down the ladders too. I'm sure he will approve with about a $5K fine. To each his own, bro.

Who uses resperators? I bought 2 of them. I asked questions here year and some ago. Nobody wants to wear them, me neither! There in the truck.

Bob jr has posted some killer pics! Stradlling a very pitched roof! Remember the dead animal in the pool!!!!!! That was some funny chit!!!

Other guys have posted pics too.

Well them just pics. We need to make videos!!! I'm banging them out kinda quick, Getting better and better at it. And everyone is learning. Especially me!

Keep the critique comming!

The fire department teaches ladder sliding, If there is an emergency, and you need to get off that ladder as soon as possable, my guys are ready! They would have a better chance than someone who has never done one. I never pushed ladder sliding on these guys, Nick now does it more often, behind my back. He is told not to. I kinda like it. I turn around there he is sliding again.

Climbing ladders and walking roofs, well that some chit we do. Nick and Jeff are guys that get the job done. They like doing it! Washing roofs, houses, cleaning gutters, walking gutters. Cleaning a dryer vent thats on the roof.

If I got a fine Id take it to court, Gary. I'd beat it too. Gutterdogs already been through some chit, more than once. I'm still here! It's proffitable to be noticed by the county and state! lol!!!
