Again I believe Gypsums main action is " opening UP " the soil allowing the soil to take in nutrients. I have used it on my own lawn the effects take a couple of days...usually greens up. With all do respect Scott If I killed any grass that size I would replace it with some sod costing about six bucks.

Me too if I felt like going and buying the sod. I already had the gypsum and it made for a perfect test spot.

As for its uses, yes it does "open up" the soil. But its also got the calcium and sulfur that plant life needs to thrive. Check out the link.

How does gypsum pellets compare to AC's plant wash?

Bruce you mentioned that you always take before and after pictures. Does that include all sides of the house, decks, landscaping and lawn? Do many other companies do that?

i take a few pics, but certainly don't cover every nook and cranny ... it's important to discuss during the estimate and while my guys are setting up i usually walk around the yard and point these things out to the customer ... it's impossible to account for everything all the time, but take the extra time to point the obvious things out, because sometimes we (me) assume the homeowner is aware of some things when really they aren't

Chet, dont rely on it to replace a plant wash.

Mike, Fill out a home evaluation and mark down any previous damage and take pictures before hand.

David, I do not crush it. I just dump it in the area with a cup and water it in really well. I just laid new sod in my back yard and covered the new soil with gypsum.

Not sure what "ain't right" means but as long as it gets enough sunlight and water, and it doesn't have a disease, it will definately help it grow better.
