does anyone use a chicken ladder?

Makeshift some wheels yourself on the sides of the top somehow and it would be even better!! Good find!

I bought one that has the wheels on it, real handy for cedar shake roofs. I shoot most of my roofs off a ladder, but when needed they are a life saver.

I have a hook that attaches to an extension ladder. It has a wheel so it can be pushed up the roof with ease. I used it on the house in the attached pictures. The roof was not walkable. It gave me access to the top ridge where I was able to shoot the back side of the roof. These areas were made inaccessable because of the pool enclosure.

Oh man I love it. Great find. I have always backed my truck up to the house and rested my 32' ladder against the back of the truck bed and leaned it flat on the roof. There is no way the ladder is moving. Yours can be put almost anywhere. Where can one get it? I want one.

A guy was telling me today about a guy he knew many years ago who tied himself off to a bumper. While he was on the other side of the roof his wife got in the car and took off. This has nothing to do with a chicken ladder just a good spot to share.

Looks like it might be handy on rare occasions?
Somehow I've made it 33 years without one though

I've done what David said and backed mt truck up inline with the house and put the ladder against the truck bed-takes some lining up to get it right though.

I used them for years, and cleaned many an "impossible" roof with them.

My Son don't like them as much as I do because he is a little athlete, and will get up in a valley in a heartbeat. Or, he will lay our large ladder on the roof, and block it with our truck, if he has to. We get em done, one way or the other.
