just wanted to know what yoiu guys thought of the wand i just made. any input is appreciated. dont pay attention to the male garden hose adaptor, meant to get the female but was in a hurry, so i still have to exchange that. i got the 4way nozzle holder from pressuretek and went with the 0040 1540 2540 4040 nozzles. may try the 30 orifice nozzles also but gonna go with the 40's for now. i'm running the 5850 and 100-200' of 5/8 hose.
Nice job!! The only thing I've noticed with using a "wand" instead of just a ball valve is the leftover love in the piece of pvc after the valve....Just watch out with the drip out the end cause sometimes it's unexpected, I used sch 40 pvc too but have moved onto sch80 since I had the handle of my ball valve break off while on a roof.....Didn't have another so I had to use a crescent wrench to finish...lol
I like how you didnt make a hot mess out of it with the primer? You know why primer is purple? So the plumbing inspector can visually confirm that you actually used it. Now you's can all sleep tonite knowing this.

If you weren't such a non arab terrorist looking white boy like me, I would say it looks like a pipe bomb
Seriously, it looks great, and is built well. nice work!
Looks good James. It actually looks just like the one I've been using for the past 2 years, except my hose connection and nozzle quick connect are on the opposite sides from yours.

Yeppppers that is what i use except I dont have to 45 degree elbow on mine and I use a quick connect to my hose.
excellent work,
make sure you carrry extra valves on you, also carry extra quick connect for your 4 way , they will go bad when you least expect it, or Like me, I dropped mine and it snapped NO GOOD

its funny you say that chris cause my fiance's parents live really close to the highway and i'm pulled up in their yard working off of my tailgate. i was making another slotted pipe filter and then i worked on this gun. the cars were driving by and i'm cutting and gluing pipe and i was just waiting for a cop to pull up and say he'd had a complaint. i dont think i look like a terrorist but i guess i could resemble one of those militia men, lol.

Hey James,..nice basic wand,..pretty much the same as I use.
Just a couple things to consider,..first,..I'd paint it black just to finish it up.
Also, the little extention you have after the ball valve really isn't needed. It will just add leverage to it,...and when it's dropped it will be a lot more likely to break. The shorter wand is als easier to slip through the ladder rungs when needed.
Not gonna effect the spaying distance in any measurable way. I actually have extenions I can add to my wand for breezy conditions or very long shots,....never need them much,..but it's just another add on to make the work easier,...and the extensions are simple enough to make and store.
But, either way,..it will be cost effective and work well for you. I always have a spare on hand,..just in case.
