Ahhhhhhhh.... the brain kicked in!!!
Brett, yes you could say that lol.
I'm like what am I doing, I make good money cleaning gutters.
Yea Chuck,..temperature is everything when it comes to gutter streaks. House washing alone could be done in 40 degree weatehr,,if you didn't have to clean the gutters.
I agree the Castrol is a little better,..but it's also twice the cost of the Purple Power,.but it isn't twice as good,..so for me the value isn't there.
When needed for something odd like BBQ grease on a concrete patio,..I will add a touch oh sodium Hydroxide to the Purple Power to juice it up some.
Thats also how I remove oxidation on aluminum siding for paint prep. It's hard to downstream these purple cleaners and get effective results. And apply them by other means is too slow,...and I don't want to use my roof tank for any products but roof mix.
Add some hydroxide to the puprl cleaners and then they work very well downstreamed,..and the mix works better than hydroxide alone. The butyl has good stripping power on its own,...and the two together are lethal on oxidation.

Clyde,..I know for a fact that Castrol Super Clean and Purple Power with both work very well on gutter streaks.
If you used them full strength and they didn't work,...then it was too cold.
I've used Purple Power the last several years with great, cost effective results.
Jeff
Those are 2 best I've ever found to remove gutter / facia tiger striping too Jeff. Castrol is a little better, I think?
I have Streak Lightning I got from Lori and Streak-B-Gone , but they only work in some cases.
I hadn't considered temperature as a factor though?
Chuck
Jeff,
I went to Wallmart the other day like you suggested, I couldn't find Purple Power, but guess what? the Super Clean is on sale for the same price as Purple Power.
Clyde, Advance or AutoZone both carry Purple Power,...also in 5 gallon,..which is what I prefer. 5 gallon buckets are nice for reusing or giving away,..the little 1 gallon jugs have no real purpose in the "after life"
