Today's roof (Mansard Roof), any tips for mix strength and thickness?

Should I increase the strength of the mix since there will probably be more run off, even with more surfactant? Or is it okay to just increase the surfactant much more than usual and leave the SH ratio the same?

Phil - I'd heat up the mix a little since there appears to be virtuall no landscape concerns, AND I'd add to the surfactant a bit. It'll still likely take a couple of applications, which is expected.

I like that you knew what type of roof this was " Mansard" This is how i would do it, although I have not done one. hehehe. I use Don's MO, I usually add about 32 oz to a 40 mix and this should be fine. not knowing what pump you are using, I will just just go by what I use which is a fatboy, i would use a 1550, nozzel and spray from the bottom to the top with a light coverage then let dwell for about 20 minutes and then come back and hit it again. should come out fine

I have found the BC-MAO to be a happy medium between the Am-Lo and M in consistency. Phil, I agree with Ted about the landscape concerns, upping the mix a little shouldn't be an issue. And my mix ratio is in line with Dave's mix.

Hopefully you'll get the rest of the buliding once the neighbor's see the results.

As long as you keep your love strong enough and use a lot of surfactant they come out great. Unfortunatly gravity sucks so you have to go a little slower because of the runoff.

Of course by the time your reading this you will have finished the job. confuse

Thanks guys, just finished and this person called and wanted it done ASAP since the are selling their house. Roof turned out great! Pics to come. I appreciate the replies, they were helpful before cleaning this roof.

Here is the finished roof.. The home owner watched us work the entire time, but besides that, the job went really well. BC-MAO worked AWESOME! The consistency of that product was comparable to syrup next to Talon which is much more watery.

Thanks guys! The mix was mostly made up of 40% SH and 4.5 cups of BC-MAO.

I believe thats called a Mansford roof.

Hey Mike, it's known as a Mansard Roof or French Roof. I had to look it up yesterday since I wasn't sure of the proper term for that style roof.
