I have seen some great looking setups in photos here [ but I don't remember where? ] of guys who have set up small trucks. Anyone got any pictures that would help Rodney get set up right the 1st try?
I really liked the looks of some small trucks that were set up as flatbeds!

I like the flatbed idea.
Very clean and efficient.
I hope this helps Rodney.

WOW yeah thats great Chris.

I really like the hose reels for starters. Buying them today. just need reducers and something to bolt them to. Maybe a wood pallet for starters???

David,

I should have clarified, these are not mine, just some pics

I found, and kept because I thought about doing the same.

Sorry if I misled anyone. Thanks

Chris

Hey Rodney, if you do a wood pallet, make sure you cover it with pressure treated plywood. You can also get one of the heavy duty plastic pallets, they look nice and would probably hold up well.

My truck setup is no where near as clean as the setups posted, but I purchased the whole setup from Pressure Tek. I probably could have saved some room and made a cleaner setup if I went about it differently.

However, make it as clean and efficient as you can by using what you can from these pictures, it'll save you a lot of hassle in the future! All of those pics look great, guys.

Me too! I had a nice Nissan that got about 20 mpg but the chlorine spills rusted the bed and I got rid of it. Now I wish I had made it a flatbed! You could even use marine plywood and fiberglass it-like a mullet boat. Then the SH would run off to whatever gutter-like areas you make and the floor could be rinsed right off with a hose! biggrin

I like # 6 and 9 pictures, with the white truck, rectangle tank and hose reels. Nice neat setup! Is all that yours? It's all nice! biggrin

Rodney,

I would start with a spray in bedliner if you can swing it. Here are some DIY kits that I was going to look into for my next rig in progress. Spray in Liner They actually sell an applicator spray gun also somewhere on this site.

As a small truck owner myself (Toyota Tacoma) I'm sending you best wishes and best of luck.

It's not the size of the dog in the fight, but the size of the fight in the dog!

if you set this up also dont forget about the under-carriage of the truck that SH is a nasty thing especially when it comes to brake lines.

Small trucks can not carry a lot of roof cleaning chemical w/o helper springs, then they wear brakes and transmissions!
