Getting REALLY tired of this...

Just have to get this off my chest...

I'm not the most active member, for that I apologize. However, when I do contribute, I try and give helpful info, not just run up my post count with silly postings.

Here's why I come to this board:
1) Education
2) Marketing my company, the postings help my web rankings
3) Networking - nice to know others in the industry and be able to send them referrals, ask questions, etc.
4) Certification....I was, now I'm not....go figure. Not the end of my world whether I am or not, but it would be nice.

I like to use the computer at the end of the day, while I'm trying to chill and relax, and frankly the RCIA board is not the best place to relax anymore.

I'm tired of attacks on other members and nasty postings. We can't really even have a civil conversation on working alone or with a crew. Postings are getting downright vitriolic in their nature.

Gotta throw this in too....I love AC's ideas, I think he can really raise the bar for many folks. Not everyone will like/approve of his methods, but they will work.  In almost every profession the  80/20 rule takes place...80 percent of the business is done by 20 percent of the companies. Those 20% of the companies not only offer great service, but they also tend to "think outside the box" and get a little gonzo with their marketing.

Now, that being said... its just plain stupid to have a vendor offering a path to certification before the RCIA has an official stance on it that you have unveiled to members. Even thought I would wager money there is NO backroom dealings/dishonesty is still looks bad and makes our association look "bush league." It also make this board just a little more stressful of a place to come.

I can't help but fell there are more members out there like me.   We're going to start loosing members if we don't get some control here, reset the tone, and make this a fun/entertaining/social place to be. I cleaned roofs for ten years before the RCIA...I can clean without the RCIA, I come here by choice. I'm going to make different choices if this $HIT DON"T CHANGE!!!!!!!!!!

PS...I'd like to see the moderators take a more aggressive censorship stance on the open side of the forum and get the negative stuff moved off of there. The public can  and DOES read our forum, as does out competition. Right now with everything out there, we look about as organized as a cage of monkeys flinging crap at the zoo.

Believe me there are alot of members that feel the same but don't post such. The 80/20 rule applies to posting also. No one person has invented roof cleaning and surely not running a business. There are a number of successful roof cleaning services out there. From those services there are a number of owners that have great skill sets and through proper networking on here, sky would be the limit. Given the many who have the experience of running a roof cleaning service and business owners for years. One can pick and choose those to network with.

80% of what you have said I am in total agreement. 20% the school is still out, though I have a different take or perception.

Time has away of answering all.

Have you noticed the decline in posting since December? Hmmmm..... I wonder why? Actually, we all know very well why but only the 80/20 rules applies. 20% of us are willing to stand up and speak pour minds and point out what we are seeing take place right before us. The Kool Aid drinkers will follow to the end carrying their mats, facing Delux/AC to worship!

It is good to see you post Ray and bring up some valid points and raise the questions many of us have.

Well, the majority of people are probably posting less due to getting prepared for this season, but I'm sure all of the BS here doesn't keep them coming back for more. Unless they like that kind of nonsense.

I don't want to turn this into a bash AC thread at all. I've taken some of his classes, and have been delighted with the value I've received for the $$$ I've spent. I think he's great for the industry in general. Do I agree with everything he does? Nope...not a cheerleader for anybody but Spray Wash Exterior Cleaning, LLC!!!!

The tone of the board has just gotten nasty lately. Folks aren't exercising basic common courtesy when replying to posts. Additionally, this can't be stated enough...IF YOU HAVE DIRTY LAUNDRY...let's wash it on the MEMBERS SIDE!!!!!! Moderators, please help police this.
