I PM'd you that I'd buy it all, but I didn't think about posting? I use the 5gpm pumps on occasional roofs and to transfer from trucks to trailer tanks etc.

When we switched to the new system we couldnt get the Fatboys switches to last more than a couple days for some reason. We tried new wires, new switches, different charging methods etc...Never could figure out what the problem was. Plus Ive really realized how difficult it is for employees to control runoff with higher flow. Im rarely even at the jobs anymore so I have to make everything as dummy proof as possible.

I've had some problems with the fatboys "but i don't really think it was the fatboy it was the type of on off switch i was using. after the second time of changing the switch I sprayed it real good with a silicone spray and its worked fine since that was spring, and close to 75 roofs later. Still working I'm still waiting on that first call of the year for a roof cleaning, My fatboy is wired and ready. I've had the 5850 in the past, seems like i would go thru a couple season. Did that a couple of seasons, till i got the fatboy I haven't looked back.

Runoff is the biggest culprit we have to deal with! I have decided to use a little more time and just use either 1 or 2 two gpm Delavans through 200' of 1/2" ID hose. Two actually put out 3 gpm. It takes a little longer, but I have very little runoff, which makes it possible for my son or I to do 75% of roofs alone, just using some tarps and a bunch of good sprinklers. Zero plant damage so far! Of course, it certainly is more bother than a bigger pump and 5/8" - 3/4" hose and a ground man! It's worth it to me though. The 1 fatboy we had, lasted through 2 jobs. We had it repaired and it did 1 more job Now it's in the pump pile! I still have three 5gpm pumps, for reaching high, unwalkable roofs from a ladder and for tank to tank transfers. Sometimes less is more. Chuck
