Univar $500 minimum order

I buy from univar here in Louisville. No minimum order and I go pick it up, (only 1.5 miles from house)

The last time I spoke with Univar out of San Antonio, TX to check prices they told me the minium order is 2000gallons delivered to commercial address only. (no pickup)

I thought that was a bunch of bull.

I wonder why the guy told me that maybe he miss understood me?But sales lady on phone told me same thing.
I'm probaley going to have them ship 5 at a time anyway.I was getting some out of a chemical business in hodgenville ky 40 miles closer also but a little higher no deposit on drums though. Do they charge you$40.00 deposit on each drum from univar Sounds high to me .But you
have to spend money to make money .I guess you gotta do what you gotta do and keep shopping on ways to cut cost!Damn't I wish I could type faster!!And a chemical

Things may be changing. Ran into my contact from Univar at my grandsons basketball game this morning. Told him what you all are saying about minium orders. He said they had a company meeting last week and this topic was discussed, but left up to the local managements decision.
May be time for RCIA to notify Univar and discuss this topic and a discount schedule.

I purchase my material from the company that delivers chlorine to the water treatment plant, city pool, etc. They will deliver as much as you want for a set delivery fee. Does not matter if you buy 5 gallons or 500 gallons. I purchase most of my pest service supplies from Univar, the shipping we were quoted was pretty high for chlorine, I think it came from Philadelphia. (6 hours away)

The Hazmat test is pretty easy. Just read over the booklet they give you and take the test. What you got to lose? You can always take the test the next day if you fail.

The only thing about getting hazmat endorsment is $ $ + you have to take it
over each time you renew you CDL, PITA and I hate freaking TEST!! emote.img?ID=8424

My univar is a hour away and they make it right here in Harrisburg. I dont have any min charge or drum deposit. Bad things are: I dont think their stuff cut as well(wich is weird cuz the last drum I got was filled from a brand new batch and loaded on my truck in about 10 mins) its a hour away, and the local farm supply guy lets me roll into his warehouse any time and pick up a drum and just call and tell him what I got I think his stuff does better. Just my $.02
