Al they have 30 of them at Delux. They just don't want to sell them until they have them rated. I would call them.

I have a question about vent pipe anchors. How do you safely get to the vent pipe to install the anchor on a steep pitched roof?

 Try mountan climbing spikes.

I don't believe the roof vent anchor is meant to be used as a constant anchor. (one that you use to hold your weight for extended periods of time. I think is was meant to be a safety feature that if in the event you slip on the roof it will keep you from falling off the edge) AC, please correct me if I am wrong about the roof vent anchor. Any roof that is too steep to walk should be shot from the gutter, a lift.

At this point, I think that's all that I am after.  I agree with you on the steep ones and I actually try to do all of them from the ladder, but for the times that I am up there I'm looking for something to arrest the fall.

Because there are so many roof types, pitches and structures there is no one good anchor. Sometimes it is the tree in the back yard and sometimes the bumper of the truck. (cleaner has keys in his pocket)

Sometimes you just cant get up on a roof at all.
