Greg, where are you placing the signs? If intersections and stop signs...Go with printing on one side of the sign. Bandit signs work great if used with other Marketing Material.

Getting ready to order some yard signs and would like some opinions on what I have so far.
Greg - I like them. In fact, my next order will be very similar to yours, using the 'less is more' concept.
Might I suggest trying black letters on a yellow back ground and vice versa? I've read about some studies that indicate it's the most visible and eye catching color variation. I can't help but wonder if the blue and yellow from your logo would have a similar effect which would tie in nicely?
**edit** Greg - don't forget about that great marketing addition to the signs that Kim posted in the premium section. I'll definitely use that idea for my yard signs in the spring.
@Guy - I smile every time I see that pic of you and the little one. It's great!

I would like to use yellow with black letters but my competition uses those color schemes. Trying to be different from him. These signs will be placed at intersections and what not.

Well, I think they look good, wouldn't change a thing. I'm not big on that form of advertisingbut that wasn't your question. As it goes I think yours have the required elements in the right order. Red seems to be the most poplar sign color so guess I'd use the red one. Hope it work well for you.
Absolutely, simpler the better. I would even take the website out and make the phone # bigger. I use 3 color signs, I don't have to but it cuts down "Price Shoppers".
This is 1 of my old ones. You want it easy to read and understand then Phone #.

Ac, Do you guys use Bandit signs at intersections and say at the entrances to subdivisions? I have never been a fan of this type of advertising. I have never tried it though. I have a couple of intersections about a mile away from my house that are so littered with these signs I said I would never use their service. There's signs for landscaping, House Cleaning, Weight lose etc... Just looks like crap. whats your opion on this. Would the benefit outweigh the negatives? Also every Monday the village picks them up and throws them away.
I have found the best way to put signs out is to work a diffrent side of town each week. One week go to the noth side of town. Put out maybe 15 signs. Then the next week do the south side of town. Then East and West. Rotate each week. Then start over again. You will find you use less signs. Some will still be there some will not. Just fill in as you go. Get a route going. I find early Sunday morning works best to put them out. Signs work well. I sold a job this week for 25k from a $1.00 sign. No, it wasn't a roof cleaning job. Good luck spring is on the way and we are all going to have a better year. It looks like things are starting to brake. Don't sit there a wait for the phone to ring, go out there and get it.

You have to be careful some areas bandit signs are illegal. We in large only used the signs in front of houses. However from time to time we did place them at intersections and in front of sub-divisions. When it was slow I grabbed 10 or so signs and hit the toll road around us and did all of the off ramps. The phone usually immediately started ringing.
Use your best judgement. As an officer of the RCIA I can not endorse breaking the law. Heck I have a dead lawn because of my community's watering restrictions while my neighbors water at 3am have have green lawns. Please just season your marketing moves in this economy with survival and obedience.
I am a littlte gun shy with signage this year as we received a ticket ($150) for illegal sign placement. Will definately use in yards though... what is a bandit sign?

Right On Guy, less is more in a yard sign, especially a small one (this is a big yard sign)!

I think yard signs are a waste of money, I think a full blown decal or wrap holds its value.......my daytime job involves picking up signs left in ROW or anywhere near State property, and I trash some real nice metal signs as well as cheap ones.....so check you local and State laws...
I put out about 2000 signs in the last 2 year. I got two $50.00 tickets from a Incorporated Town. I just don't put the there anymore. There are many towns that just take your signs and throw them away. My phone rings every day from a yard sign on the side of the road. If I didn't put signs out, I wouldn't have work. Its the best advertising for the buck.

I ordered the blue one a couple of days ago. I chose blue because every body that uses signs around here have the red color. I wanted to stand out from the rest. I have a marketing plan to use theses signs in strategic locations. Hoping for a good ROI.

No fines here either. As large cities grow (As Do They're taxes) more businesses and Customers move out of City limits. most Counties don't have sign ordinances. If you use Bandit signs check local laws. Be smart about placement. I agree, ROI is amazing.
