Roof Cleaning Trigger Gun

How many of you are experiencing the same problems as us with theei roof cleaning gun?  We used a polypropylene trigger gun (website listed below) this past season with marginal results.  The gun itself when new, does a great job and we are very satisfied with the results, BUT after a few weeks the gun leaks and it becomes a real PITA.  We've bought rebuild kits and understand that LUV that were shooting is very caustic BUT still think that there has to be a better product out there.

Questions

Are we not maintaining the trigger gun properly? How do some of you clean your shooting gun after a cleaning?

Is there a better gun out there?  One that has kevlar inner components instead of metal?

Guys, as always your feedback is appreciated. It would be nice to have a gun that doesn't leak.

I use the same gun with no problems,I run water through it{ keep trigger open } after every job. It does leak from the tip area after time but I keep it in a bucket from the curb to the house and back again. Did you use plumbers tape when putting it together?

LOL, now you KNOW why we don't use Trigger Guns, and caution against them!
We have cleaned in excess of 30 thousand roofs in nearly 20 years with a ball valve!
I am quite sure many of these roof cleaning equipment suppliers know of the problems you will experience down the road with their products. Some simply don't give a Fuk. They make MONEY selling you both the guns, then the rebuild kits when they break! My advice is to listen not to sellers of roof cleaning equipment, who want to make money off your misery. Listen to and heed the advice of veteran roof cleaners with nothing to sell you but good free advice.

Here are the ball valves we use.
you can buy 10 of these to 1 of those
guns, and these last a Long time for me.

This one is attached to our 200ft of 1/2" AG hose.

This one for our larger Dia. hose 5/8  and 3/4.

Hope this helps you out. They are much easier and cheaper to use.
