I dont tell the neighbors I am working next door unless they have a pet out or kids around playing, these neighbors also get a post card. Not only do I inform My customer that they should keep an eye on their roof (as I am walking them around their properties) but inform them what is going on with their roof  and why it looks like it does (White lichen) then explain to them whats going to happen after it rains, I believe in letting them know everything I know. I encourge them to call me if they see anything they do not understand. and yes some of these people I have to hold their hand.
but they feel good when I leave.
