I am an Electronic Engineer in oil and gas. Roofed houses many years ago. I am just trying to build something that is my own to have more freedom to be with my family. Making money doesnt hurt either!

I think many roof cleaners come from entreprenuerial spirits who see a a way to make good money with little start up. I really hope we can put this service with high regard so people will want certified roof cleaners and be willing to pay for the Seal of Approval.

30 years in auto manufacturing plant. I started cleaning home exteriors for friends and family then business started picking up from word of mouth then added roof cleaning.

Was in the military for 20 years, started pressure washing friends and neighbors houses for free then they started paying me. I noticed my roof was dirty and started searching how I could clean it, seen apple roof cleaning website and went from there.

I was a prison guard. I quit that job and became a sprinkler fitter and a real estate investor.

I started in an ice plant at 13,...had numerous grass mowing jobs throughout the following Summers as well. Aways seemed to like doing my own thing.

along with the ice plant, also did tree work in the Winter months,...through my 20's.

And here I am!!

I was a farmer here in Indiana for most of my life. Farmed 1650 acres of the finest land around. Due to chemical exposure (I'm sure of it) I had a little bit of a heart problem. Atrial Fibrillation. I was headed to stroke land, so I sold most of my land and all my equipment, and decided to relax and not care about the weather so much for a while.

The A Fib problem has finally gone away, with the chems, and I went looking for a new occupation. Tried a few things, built a Humane Society building in my town, got involved with flying gliders with a club, helped the club buy an airport, built a runway there and maintained the place for a couple of years, was a caregiver to my aging parents, and now I am mostly free to get down to business. The roof cleaning business.

That's (part) of my story. I'd like to see some more here. This is a very experienced and diverse group we have here!

I'm still a full-time professional firefighter but have been in the pressure washing business since 1998. Started my own company in December 2004 so that my wife could stay home and homeschool our children. Now I'm expanding my services to include roof washing and hope that will be our highest service request soon. Houses are quick, decks pay okay, but take two days to do. Seems like roofs are the best of both worlds and would be more profitable for me.. LORD willing.

I started roofing. Then Iron Worker. Then Truck Driver. Then Hazardous Chemical Disposal. Then, yes there are more thens, Truck Driver, Cop. Then my Glory days in the "oil patch" (West Texas no mans land). Back to roofing because it eas becoming PAINFULLY obvious that I CAN'T work for anyone else. Now, Roof Cleaning. Yes, Ive held every boyhood dream job I ever had. Except maybe Firefighter. But, I'm staying in for the long haul. I like working for myself.
