what made you consider roofs?

 

04-Auto Diesel major in college

I was a homebuilder with no homes to build.

1. Was a carpenter and worked in construction from the time I was 4 (sweeping Floors) mostly custom trim work and framing, but I did a lot of roofing during and after college,
2. then insurance restoration-the construction end,
   1. (still carpenter)
   2. this entailed cleaning of smoke,fire,water damaged home and then the reconstruction end as well
   3. also entailed various power washing for commercial and residential, graffitti removal,cleaning human crap out of your basement when it floods at 3 am,(chitter's full!) and boarding up houses at midnight in west philly,cleaning up murder scenes, yes I'm murder certified. Only did a few of them though, don't wish that job on anyone.
3. then ins resto-business and management end ( certified home inspector and roof inspections for extra income)
   1. Lot less construction, more planning and implementation for emergency services
4. then mold remediation, inspections for insurance companies restoration (mostly was called in for roof inspections and analytical damage assessment)
5. then mold remediation, indoor air quality testing, decontamination work, which lead to clean room work/bacteria analysis, Mold/Bacteria/Virus prevention- hypoallergenic rooms........ basically anything to do with microbiological growth that was not supposed to be there.

I was driving gasoline tankers, but my income kept heading in the wrong direction. Now I have all the freedom & headaches of self-employment. 

I was a Window Cleaner....

Im in Arkansas not Arizona!

Our climate isnt any different than any other southern state.

 

I was a Motorola 2 way radio Zone Manager, with 4 sales managers, and 25 salespeople under me, before cell phones made us 2 way radio guys obsolete.
I worked as a roofer in Seattle years ago, and we cleaned roofs with chlorine and a paint roller on a pole w/o pressure. One day I watched a pressure washer ruin 6 roofs on my street. He knocked on my door to try and get my business and nearly got his azz kicked.
As he left my driveway, he made the stupid mistake of telling me to fuk off, that he made well over 100 grand last year cleaning roofs, and did not need my business.
That was his mistake! I was out of work, and decided I could clean roofs better.
The rest is history, and I have never looked back.

I started working for my company when I was 15 and dicided I could do better bt the time I was 17-You know kids!!! I worked for a electrician, worked for a concrete wall company and drove truck for a custom farmer. A year and a half I dicided washing was better than I thought and came back. Now Im also in both feet and dont care to look back!
