Good for you!!! The sign of a good and successful business owner is one that ceases opportunity when they see it and are the ones that just get things done. Those that are dependent on others, do not make a good business owner and they will fail. Not saying don't have a plan...... but you gotta take action in order to make money, and stay ahead of your competition.
Good luck with the new Biz. You will do well. Ifthere is anything I can do to help you, just let me know.
Well Good Luck and Thanks if you don't wanna help me thats fine don't bother replying if you don't like the way I'm looking to start my company there other guys who think I'm doing the right thing by not just jumping in and not knowing what to do.
I am more than willing to help you. I really am, and so are some others.
I have worked in the corp. world and spent 2-3 million dollars a year for several years on capital investments and spent many hours working and reworking my business plan for my department. (38 employees and 15-20 million dollars a year in sales) I have owned my own business for almost 18 years. I know employees and what makes a successful person in general. This is your business and you need to run it your way. You came here asking everyone's advice, and you are getting it. Everyone has something different to add, some are conflicting each other, and some may conflict with your own thoughts, and SCORE. Just keep taking notes on everything, and in the end take the best of the best for your use. I was not saying jump in without a plan, just don't get stuck in the planning and not DO anything. I was were you are many years ago. I was trying to get all my ducks in a row. I kept revising and revising, and spent 3 years planning before I DID anything. After I was up and running I kicked myself in the Butt because I could have been running successfully 2 years earlier and made so much more money. The longer you wait, you start to loose the passion you had when you started with the original idea. That passion you have with a fresh Idea is what gets you motivated and going. Once you get going and see your progress, it feeds that passion and you progress with a good attitude and achieve your goals at hand.
This info is for anyone out there that is looking at starting a new business not just for Travis. When you have the idea, jump on it quickly, or your passion will fade, and the idea will either fade away, or be set on the back burner, replaced by something else.
I am willing to help, you just need to understand that everyone has something to add that is useful to you. maybe not everything they say, maybe just one small piece, but you are asking help from guys that are already in business and they are making money. Every one's business is different, (many different business models) There are guys here making $15-20 Grand a year to guys making hundreds of thousands of dollars a year. Keep doing what your doing, but take some action so you don't loose the passion you got when you had the idea to start your business.
You can call me and I will help with anything I can Travis. The world is a better place when there is another successful person walking it.
I just jumped in and was gonna make this my second source of income until I unexpectedly lost my first source. :( It was kinda like fate, And I've been doing roof cleaning "full-time" now.
Educating people and getting your name out there is the hardest part for me so far because people around my area have no idea it can be even be done.
Sometimes hands on and jumping in are the best ways....everyones different.
Well said Chris btw
