I posted the job I did earlier this week on the guest side so it's searchable and comes up on search engines. I get a post from a guy that has a few posts asking what I charged. It is my thinking that we keep that stuff on the PM side. I want to help people just as those here have helped me tremendously but I don't want to tell him that I got 350.00, gave him a 5% discount to leave the sign for a week and another 5% for being a VET. In the end 315.00 for about 3 hours total (including mixing and clean up when I got home). Anyone have any ideas as to how I should answer that w/o sounding like a jerk?
I think I'd PM the guy and politely let him know that was a promotional post for Google purposes, and then kindly ask if he'd change his remarks to 'Great Job Blue Ridge". In return, I'd offer to PM him what I got for the job.
Some folks don't realize the purpose for promo posts. Some tend to think it's just for the warm and fuzzy comments from our peers. Far from it as you well know.

My
Thanks Ted. I did as you suggested. It will be interesting to see the reply.
I sent him a message as Ted suggested and of course... no reply!
It was worth a try I guess - sorry Blue Ridge Roof Cleaning. I looked at his profile and he has been logged on as recently as today. Maybe he doesn't know to look for PMs?
