Hey guys, I was reading through some of the last weeks posts on the "free" side.
I see a lot of push telling people to pay, or become a paid member etc. I think after a while this might tick some guys off (there are a few with a short fuse) LoL..... or chase some really good candidates away.
I think maybe we need to change the way we address this. Maybe start addressing guys as Members (paid) and guests. As we court new guys we can explain benefits perks etc. for "members" instead of the term "paid member", or something even more direct.
Just one of those sales tips I learned some time ago. If you mention money or push payment, (hard sell) it tends to put up a wall for the customer / future member etc. I think a "soft sell" explaining benefits, perks, and giving encouragement to that individual will go much farther and mean more to them.
I will be answering some easy simple "Non trade secret" questions to non members with an added soft sell to become a "Member" and a word of encouragement. Its all about creating a relationship (just like with our Roof cleaning customers) and growing our Brotherhood.
My personal opinion (and you know what they say about that)...
It's the time of year where all the talk of paying up, paid member, etc. needs to go away for many reason so many have mentioned. We have done all we can do for now and with Christmas (whoops, should I have said holiday) coming up and winter trying to break through, some just don't have the cash and are watching everything they spend. We can bring them over. Build it, they will come! As the site gets better and trade secrets are moved there will be no other choice.
I also have a problem with guys being here for a while and whining about the membership fee. Meanwhile theyre posting away before and after pics, some even bragging about how many roofs they clean, yet fail to succomb. I also agree a softer sell to newer members.
