I tell the customer we use stabilizers. Part of my sales pitch. I've seen many gutters that were either dented or the paint scratched off. Not that noticable from the ground, most times.
I had a ladder fall too with out the stabilizer, and I was on a ladder a few years ago with out a stabilizer and it slipped out from under me! And it hurt!!!! lol!!
