Well I wish I had your expertise in making billboards. I tried, and have landed a few jobs since it went up. The name and phone number did come out a little smaller than it looked on the proof. I just don't understand why some of you guys on here are so arrogant. I'm trying to make a living and the forum has helped me do that. I am appreciative. As of late, it seems like the guys posting aren't as friendly and helpful as they used to be. For what it worth, good luck to you.

thanks, how long did it take you for your company to take off? I've been trying different advertising methods and spending a little money to try and get the word out, it has been slow to start, although I am making money even after the advertising. I work another full time job but would like to not and only clean roofs. Just curious as to how others fare when starting out.

Im in your market, and we actually do 2-4 roofs a week in Magnolia. We are going on 4 years and I can tell you theres no such thing as it "Taking off". Its a slow and steady increase.

Jeff there is no dought this as well as the grime scene  has helped me out big time. I've been following the grime scene (or should i say used too) and then came along this awsome board  for probably 5 yrs now,I've learned so much, I probably would have paid to no all ive learned from all you guys back then. But times has changed the working man is barly getting by. Everything has gone up and up and up except wages.  I just felt when i started reading this thread, was come on give this guy a break. don't make him go thru all the post to find this simple answer.  And with the rising I realize if i left the mix on over time the stain would go away But I personally want the home owner to see immediate results. I know alot of you want to spray and let the rain rinse the love off over time. And thats fine  but i Don't.   Like i said i couldn't be where i'm at now with out these boards. And I thank you Chris.

Steve,..no one ever said that rinsing was a bad thing. The issue at hand though was rinsing between applications. Thats different than rinsing to finish up. The point we made was to simply apply the second coat without rinsing in between. But yes,..when the GM is all dead,..rinse away.
