I'm a little confused about paying dues. Can we get a thread/forum/ explanation page of exactly how to pay/where to mail the check, etc. I just hit the donate button on Paypal for my contribution ( Conf # 1C9750831Y942044Y ) for $100, and it went to Ka7niq@yahoo.com, but information I've now read makes me think this was not the proper way to become a paid member. I am confused, please help.

What you just did is not the correct way to become a paid member. At present you need to send a check to me, made payable to RCIA, along with all your info such as name, address, telephone, email, shirt size and company name.
Send check to; Gary Wyer 127 Declaration dr. Louisville Ky 40214
If you choose to use a credit card, PM me the above info along with your credit card info. Ned CC #, expiation date, card type (visa/,m/c) and the security # on back of card. Your CC info will be destroyed after billing.
The payment you made was set up to fund the operation of the forum, not membership. PM Chris and ask for a refund if you so desire. Thanks Gary
For some time the RCIA has had discussions of moving forward with a paid membership.
We are proud to announce that this membership is now enacted after a unanimous vote from the executive board of directors.
All members that are currently registered on the RCIA forum will have a 1 month grace period ending on the first of November. After this date all members who are active on the forum or who want RCIA representation and advice will be paid members.
The cost of membership is currently $100 per year and includes a welcome package. This welcome package includes an RCIA members shirt, hat, certificate, die cut sticker and more. Please include your email address and your t-shirt size and telephone number.
Currently we are accepting new memberships at the office of our treasurer Gary Wyer, through this address: 127 Declaration Dr. Louisville KY 40214
Checks to be payable to Roof Cleaning Institute of America. In the near future we will have easier payment methods.
This paid membership will allow the RCIA members to have a voice and vote in the writing of the industry standard. It will also allow a chance to become an RCIA representative at events and gatherings were we can promote the RCIA standards to our customers.
This does not constitute a closed forum at this point, this and other topics are still being addressed and a plan of action for each concept will be laid in place over the following few months.
At this point we are no longer writing new certifications, and all current certifications will still be valid until the last day of 2011 at which point a renewal or new certification process will be in place.
