Starting Monday, 11/01/2010 you will start to see some of the new and exciting changes that will be available to "Paid Members" only. If you haven't joined and paid your membership fees yet, you should seriously consider doing it. Stay tuned for more info tomorrow. Gary Treasurer---Executive Board RCIA
Gary How about giving us non paid members a free 30 day trial membership so we can see what we are getting or missing out on. You may sell more memberships!
I don't think a trial time is needed for anyone, new or an old timer. Not to be mean to anyone but we all have gotten alot from Chris and the others,we know what this board will offer and I am sure it will only get better.I don't think sending in one hundred bucks now is to much to ask for....again I am not trying to be nasty.

I'll second that. It was my understanding the purpose of a paid membership was to narrow the forum so mambers have a voice within RCIA. Wouldn't such also allow for keeping our craft directed and weed out those just trying to ride the wave?

I definately agree. Come on guys; through this forum we have learned enough information to make a great living. Hell, to be honest $100.00 is pretty cheap. $1,000.00 days are not uncommon. I have had one already in my short career. Thanks everybody.
There has not been, and will not be, any discusion on a "free 30 day trial". If there is any doubt that the info you have already received from this site, along with the additional info and benefits you will receive as a paid member, is not worth the $100.00 membership fee, then I am truly sorry for you. Perhaps you have made a mistake chosing this field as a career.
Wishing you good luck and prosperity in whatever you decide. Gary
I agree, there should Not be any "trial period". I do think there should be a full list of changes, member benefits and what's to come listed somewhere. Many people want to know if the forums are going to be restricted to the public, what the member terms and benefits are, if members will have any voice in RCIA, etc.
I think this would make it a little less complicated down the line and also help with new members.
The changes will be an ongoing "work in progress" over the next several months (years) and nobody knows at this point what all will change. Being a paid member will enable you to have a voice in the changes that will take place. You will get a small introduction tomorrow (sunday) when I post the beginning changes that take effect 11/01/2010. Everyones input and help is needed to bring this to a successful completion.
The "paid members area" is up, towards the bottom of the home page, right before the certified directory. Now all you need is the password, which will be pm'd to all currently paid members starting Monday. Gary
Sounds good. May I suggest maybe changing "Paid Member only forum" to "Premium Member only forum". I think something like that sounds more professional then just paid membership.

Compared to what some have been getting for free it should be well accepted!
Hi Gary I've been away for a couple of months painting houses. Now that the season is slowing down I've come back to getting my 100 post to become a member. I see you are charging $100.00 to become a member. Does this mean if I pay the 100 I no longer need the 100 post? I've learned so much here that I plan to stop painting and do roofs 100% next year. Also you do not make it easy to find where to pay.
I see on the bottom of my page there is a $1.00 a month membership fee, I'm a little confused as to what you want, $100 a year , $1.00 a month or $100 a year and $1.00 a month .
Hi peter, The contribute and fee buttons on the forum need to be reworked/ removed. We have put a temporary hold on certification as we are reworking how it will work and were it will be offered from.
PM me your card number, exp..date and security numbers on the back, along with all the other info I have requested. Your card info will be destroyed after billing is complete. Gary
