The longer it stays in contact with the Sh the better it works. But I have the sneaky suspicion that while it may not effect the available chlorine levels dramatically that it does have some effect. I thing it also lowers the pH over time.
I'll be running some tests this week for anyone interested.
Maybe us Florida guys go go in together and split up a drum?

Maybe us Florida guys go go in together and split up a drum? I look forward to hearing about how you plan to implement this test and the results. I have been to busy to pinpoint the problem. What I do know is that if I mix a batch of SH & Green Apple (8oz / 100 gal) in the morning, I can not reuse what is left over the next day because it no longer works to even clean the siding on a house.
I will make up a small batch of water, SH, and Green Apple Scent. I will test the chlorine and pH levels at 5 minutes post mix, 1 hour post mix, and 1 day post mix. I'll post the findings here when I'm done.
My suspicion is that it lowers the pH and may also degrade the available chlorine.
My field test the other day kind of confirms the pH hypothesis. I added 4 cups of soda ash to a 2 day old mix and just a single gallon of 12% SH and it brought back 25 gallons of mix so well I had to dilute it to 30 gallons for a house mix. Before the soda ash the mix wouldn't do anything.

Where did you get the soda ash and how are you testing the chlorine levels?
I got the soda ash from a local pool supplier. Since it seems to work I'll be looking into finding a supplier for larger quantaties.
I have a test kit and a few mathmatical equations for the chlorine levels. Let's hope they're correct, lol

I had the same problem, Lori's not going to order more until spring, Tried some simple cherry from Bob, doesn't seem to do the trick. May order a 55 from florachem, they are the manufacturers of it. I am also trying a new product called ecosorb. Will keep everyone updated on the results.
I talked to Lori at PWP today. She will be stocking Green Apple Floramask through the winter for those that need it. Give her a call if you need some. She also said they were working with another vendor that sells an odor masking product. According to her this new product will cost less. She should have more complete information in about 2 weeks regarding this product . You will have to call her for information

I had the same exact thing happen 3 times. I also ruined the next couple batches of mix untill I drained and rinsed the tank out. I am not convinced on the ammonix lo holds up. I think I might go back to my dawn it changed the oder and always worked!
I just got back from there. Had to pick up some supplies and it was my first time there. Really nice people. They have the apple fragrance and also Ammonyx Lo and anything else you need. Their AM Lo is also 75% concentrated, has a window cleaning agent in it as well as a water softener ingredient. I'm trying theirs out on Thursday. Ask for Karen or Tim and tell them I sent you.
Just ordered The Apple scent from Lori today, They will have it in this week. This stuff is great. I ordered some of the simple Cherry and it don't even compare to the Apple scent that Pressure Washer Products carry. Give Lori a call and she will take care of you.

I narrowed it down months ago by process of elimination. The Apple scent, although pretty good at covering up the sh smell, also breaks down the potency of the mix very quickly. Even after 3-4 fresh batches of sh the residual was breaking down my mix. Eventually I had to do the same and rinse out my tank.

Wow 75% is way higher lauramine oxide content than ammonyx lo which only has 30%. The added ingredients is a nice touch too. I still have 1/2 barrel of 30% by super suds.
