I'm one of the new guys and have a friend for weekends, and another that can work one day during the week. I plan to schedule my roof jobs when I have help and "safer" jobs when I'm alone. I think this is where it's convenient to own a pressure washer so you can mix it up a bit and do flatwork, decks, etc. when you're solo ... then again, what do I know, like I said, I'm one of the new guys!

Part of my advertising says "Never a man in training on your roof, father and son only business" Some just like a simpler life. Like me . I prefer extra labor to employee headaches. I had a 5 man crew as a painting contractor in Ithaca, Ny in 1986 and hated every minute of it! Never again! PS: I have never once had a customer suggest that there should be 2 of us, and that's the honest truth!
Me neither Chuck,...I think some of these guys are trying to make simple roof cleaning out to be more than it really is. In my experience, customers just don't care as long as the job gets done.
