Well, after all the time reading, training, and thoughtful approach to getting started I burnt up some unstained weathered wood lounge chairs.
So should I buy new furniture, bleach the whole chair, or sand down and refinish?
What Kind of wood

If it's anything like what we have up our way it's teak. Just grab some oxy-clean out of the grocery store. (it'll do in a pinch). Mix in a cup into your gallon pump up sprayer and spray over the furniture and scrub it with a brush. (not a wire brush!). then when your finished scrubbing it just spray it out with a garden hose (also could work in a pinch). Should evenly lighten up everything make it look new. The oxalic acid is step two and really makes it pop. Although it really does depend on the wood.
Oxy Clean is Sodium Precarbonate I believe. Use 1lb to one gallon water, use half that for the oxalic. Let the SP mix dwell for 15 minutes and keep it wet. We usually pressure wash wood at low pressure when using Sodium precarbonate, but the brush suggestion will work as well. Oxalic acid brightens the wood and neutralizes the sodium precarb, but is not necessary for a quick cleanup. Both these chems ahould be applied directly, not down streamed through a pressure washer. Neither of these chems should ever be aloud to mix with your Sodium Hypochlorite as they are incompatible and will create a foamy reaction or dangerous gas. They should not be mixed together either. Hope this helped.
Thanks Bill and everyone, I picked up some Oxy Clean at HD, but didnt know where to get the oxalic acid. Thanks for the solid explanation, much appreciated. I will take some before and after pics for other peoples reference....
If they are unstained and weathered, I would just clean. How can they argue with that?
Sodium percarb and oxalic acid.
+1, or you could use some weak hydroxide. rarely include a bleach on wood. It can be added very weakly to the percarbonate or hydroxide as the secondary cleaner if there are green stains on the wood.
Since percarbonate and hydroxide cost the same. Half stepping the stronger hydroxide would be a lil more cost effective.
Check this vid out. Some of this teak furniture was stained and some just weathered. They had a 2 month old deck too!
I didnt wash the deck but waited and caried the furniture back to the deck for the comparison pic. The freshly washed wood looks just as new as the new deck. After all the wood dried. Hydroxide was used on all the wood, not switching from percarb to hydroxide.
Hydroxide works on everything except acrilic.
I havent mentione oxalic acid, cause that a no brainer. You cant walk away from the wood with the tennin out. It doesnt look nattural. lol!!

where do i get the Sodium percarb and oxalic acid? do i need to order online, from a chem distributor, or can i get it locally?
Thanks for the help and insight!!!
Sunbrite where I get mine. Not sure like the other guys said about depo. Only thing I get from them is 5 gal buckets, chit like that. SH is HELL on them too! I use them for the xjet, gutter scrub mix, and my roof cleaning mix. Well anything I run through my 12 volt pump. That would be wood washing too.
I'm still 5 galloning it. I waste verry little. Today I threw away 2 n half galons roof mix.
