 Nice and simple, I like and I can use. GCM cuts the expectancy in about half. GCM also seems to attract moss and lichens on some houses, they come later, not at the same time.

 Keep your roof clean and it will pass the guarantee. I guess like keeping your car clean and waxed? The paint lasts longer.

Hey Brian I did contact a roof contractor today and pretended to be a homeowner. You wouldn't believe what he said and he was an inspector. When asked what the black stuff all over my roof was (there actually is none :)that was the old PI comming out in me, play dumb at all cost. He said he really wasn't sure but there was a lot of speculation going on about it. I asked would it hurt my roof to leave it on and he said absolutely not, no problems, it should still last another 25 years or so. He also said that there was some guy who might be able to clean it with a powerwasher for me. I was floored! I'm wondering if he really wanted to come out of the office to make a sale??
