One is a 325 gallon monster tank with a lower side bulk head.
The other is a 65 gallon with a bulk head in the bottom of the tank on the underneath of the tank.
I planned on just using the smaller one for SH and keeping the big one in storage until I get a much bigger trailer to use it for water for a pressure washing rig as well as my roof washing set up.
Well, I went to take the connection off of the little one and found that it was connected with 4 bolts as well as the pipe hole. So there are 5 different holes to potential leak.
So my question is... Would it be a bad idea to just use the monster tank, but just not put over 80 gallons in it at a time?
The bigger one would for sure serve better as a place to advertise as well.
I know its possible to use only 80 gallons in this huge tank... but just wanted some insight on if it would be a good idea or not.
You mentioned that you wass going to use the bigger tank for pressure washing. Was that going to be used as a buffer tank for fresh water? If so I would no mix chems in that tank. Just my .02

I was going to at a later date... But no need to suffer now for a problem I may run into later.
I have found several of those tote containers for sale on my local craigslist for little of nothing. So I may end up getting one of those one day for the powerwashing.
Here is how the trailer looks with the bigger tank and a water tank on the front.. I may actually end up putting the smaller one on the front for water only. It wouldnt be as prone to leaking with just water I would think.
I have 2 of those 65 gallon tanks. Actually mine are 60 gallons, but the desing is basically the same. Find viton gaskets. If you can find a gasket dealer locally a place that actually makes or at least cuts them is best. 1 sheet of viton gasket material isn't cheap but it's the only way to make use of those tanks without major worries of leaks from the SH.
I have been running mine since February and no leaks yet.
I use all vito seal and O rings and schedule 80 (grey) PVC.

Treat the plywood with somthing so it will last. I pickedup rhino liner at the local auto joint for one hundred bucks you will get two coats if not three.
I would agree if I was planning on filling the tank up... but like I posted, I only plan to put 80 or so gallons in the tank. Will never have more than 150 gallons of liquid on the trailer.
