Do any of you know now (3 months after this last post) if Titan has resolved the weld problem?? I am looking at purchasing a Bandit set up with the Titan, SS reel and would love to know if this problem is now a thing of the past. Many thanks to all who've constructively posted here! I was very glad to read about it before purchasing so that I can be sure to get an "upgraded" manifold when I purchase my new reel.

I don't know if Titan has resolved it, but Bob from Pressure Tek and some others have come up with a fix. They use various means to take the stress off the weld by holding the hose to either the inner manifold, or the side of the reel. It seems to work. Titan asked me to bring in the failed part for examination, but they are clear across Tampa Bay from me. Since I started supporting my hose, we have had zero problems.
how much hose you using or suggest for a real? 5/8 right? or 1/2?

I like zip ties almost as much as duct tape so here's my preventative maintenance. I use 1/2" polybraid hose, but I had a piece of 3/4 I put around it for protection. I could have done better, but I didn't feel like going to the hardware store.

ANYTHING to take the pressure OFF that weld seems to work.
