Fat Boy vs. Roofster
Permalink

I have been reading and reading and have learned NOT to use my pressure washer on roofs and to go with a good low pressure system. The two I am trying to decide on are the Fat Boy Bandit from Pressure Tek and the Roofster from Sunbrite that has the John Blue pump. What are the pros and cons of each? Like I said I have read but did not see the answers I was looking for.

Thanks

I wish I could help, but I only use 12v. I have a pw for flat work as an upsell.
Today I sold a roof and then upsold the concrete sidewalk and drive. That will cover my helpers pay.

I haved used shur-flos and delevans and have had a john blue for I guess almost 2yrs.IMHO,the JB is much more reliable.
Rinsing is just as important as it would be with the 12v pumps, but 4gpm @ 300psi without the fear of a battery going dead while on a roof or the relays frying is wra money you wiorth the extra $$$ you will pay for a JB.

Thanks for the response. I ordered two fat boys today one to bolt up and one for a spare. I am getting them local however the next ones I buy will probably be from Bob or Lori. After pricing kits I found it would be much cheaper to build my own rig. I am sure I will have questions but will only ask after I have used the search button. I was able to purchase two fat boys, two tanks{ one for roof mix and one for house mix} hose reel, spray hose, battery, wands and gun for a good bit less than the fat boy bandit. Plus, i will learn how everything operates by doing it myself. Like I said , I may have some questions in order to keep from making costly mistakes. On my way to certification!!!

Thanks

Fatboys are good just make sure you rinse after each use and don't expect them to last forever... The hose reel- what did you buy? What are you using for house mix?

Oh ok. Just thought you were using something different for house wash when you said a separate tank for house wash. Good luck with everything..

On the reel, you could use a quick connect and not run love through it and just use it to wind hose, if that might help a little.

Not a bad idea, sure would last longer.

Dodge, why? It will be mounted on the same trailer as my Landa so that I have both with me in order to upsell one or the other.

i use the all flo 3/8 and i have had it for two years now. I just cleaned it up and it runs better than new right now. It has outlasted two titan hose reels.
