Hey guys, here are my first two roofs. The red roof has been neglected and had never been cleaned in it's approximate 20 years. It cleaned up nicely at 40% with 1 coat and spot treatment but has severe granule loss in some spots. I informed the customer during the quote but she insisted on having it cleaned. Besides the granule loss, the roof was in serviceable condition.
The grey roof was in great condition but was severly stained on the sides and rear. It also cleaned up nicely at 40% with 1 coat and spot treatment.
What do you guys think?

Absolutely! The first homeowner "couldn't see much of a difference" until I emailed the before and after pics. I assume because the entire roof was completely covered in stains and not streaked like the second home.

Very nice work for your first two roofs!
As far as the homeowner "couldn"t see much of a difference". I think that points out the challenge we face with the majority of homeowners with dirty roofs. They pay so little attention to the roof they have difficulty even remembering what the roof looked like before it was cleaned. So if they aren't paying attention to their roofs to begin with they rarely decide on their own that the roof needs cleaning.
Clay you have been a member since August 2009 and now you are cleaning roofs. Don't you think it's time to complete your signature with company information?

Charles
Charles, I think you are right about homeowners paying little attention to their roofs. Not a problem, though! Can't win them all. I haven't filled the sig yet because my website is in the works and I've decided to change my business name. Will update as soon as I can. You headed to SC, Charles? If so, I'll see you there!
