But I found myself spending the day doing a bit of repair on the rig and I recently had a wand break, a gun go bad, and a reel self destruct.
So... I Mcguyver'd this baby up and tried it out. It's for use with a 2gpm Delevan.
Now I know some of you will tell me all the reasons it won't work, but I had the parts laying around so I'll give it a try. It's a learning process.
By the way... Here's the reel that got it all started. Don't use anything but quality SS reels or this will happen every 2-3 years.

Hey, whatever works. So you use a garden hose to spray your love? And a suggestion...why not completely unroll your hose and connect it directly to pump, do the job, rinse then hook back up to hose reel. This will keep the love from ruining your hose reels.
I have a very good friend who refuses to run love through his reels anymore. The reels are now simply a storage place for his hoses. Makes for a little more work at each job, but those reels will last 5x (or more) as long.

That's not a garden hose. It's a chem hose similiar to an AG hose.
The only reason why it was coiled over the bucket was because I needed to keep it somewhere until I get the new reel installed.
The little wand works just fine and a bit easier to hold than a straight ball valve. We'll see what happens. It's all stainless.

Why even spend the money on a hose reel if youre not going to use it? Your best option would be to spend the money on a good aluminum Titan hose reel. Something like $250. I dont remember the price because Ive only had to buy it once.

I have sprayed roofs with Dollar Store Garden hose and a brass adjustable nozzle. I learned about valves when the brass adjustable nozzles started leaking. I have even cleaned roofs with a paint roller attached to a pole by dipping it in the roof cleaning mix, and rolling it on the roof. We all have to crawl before we walk. If it is thick stainless or brass, if it is rinsed out, it will last awhile. Just plan on replacing BEFORE it fails Matt ?
Used the new gun today and it worked like a charm. I rinsed it out and it's ready for Friday.
I'll be getting a new SS Titan reel from Lori as soon as I can get over there.
