Usually it will be fine. We try to wet it first or get little chem on it or just wash it as well with the roof mix or some lighter version of it on anything above the roof line. I would rinse it after the chem works on the roof rather than leave it. Below the roof line we don't want strong chem to get into the garden, but that area is easier to control as you know.
