We still have a long way to go before any certification is earned, we are still in the preliminary stages of assembling our business as a whole. Randy is up in Michigan slammed with doing roofs, but not cleaning them, we have been a roofing contractor for over 27 yrs. This transition has been slow but we are getting near the end. But I have some excellent contacts so when everything is brought together within the next few weeks, he will have a good jump start.
I was not seeking out to be certified, and would never ask to be, until everything is completed according to the requirements set by RCIA. I was only asking about upgrading my member status, from apprentice to student. But it is fine as it is. MY point was that I had visited almost 1500 times and am still NOT ready to be certified. Because it has to be Earned and many times the newcomers to this board do not understand that there is a lot of reading and more reading etc. as well as other facets involved to be able to become certified.
Not to write a storybook here, sorry just needed to elaborate I guess.
Randy / Kim, I'm just starting out here after reading for nearly two months before I even joined the forum, 100 posts can seem a long way off. But have faith, nothing worth having comes easy. Hope everything comes together for you, best wishes in your roof cleaning endevors.
Thanks much Mike, but we could not accept a certification even if it was offered, I would not want to diminish the integrity of RCIA. The certification will come when we are ready to test and it won't to be far off at this point. We have just about everything in place, using the all flo system on our 12' trailer, and going to buy another all flo in a month. When we get it all set we will have 2 rigs ( our 16' trailer) and a total investment of about 15+k at that point. But the biggest thing is going to be our contacts currently in place. I am hoping for things to move quickly and if Randy doesn't get here by the 5th of Sept, then I am gonna have at it. lol (seriously)
Mike are you going to SC event? Not sure if we will make it, but if we do, I will be calling ya if you go!
How can you tell how many times you have visited the site?
If you right click your pad or mouse it will open up a menu and you look at the view page info at the bottom of the list, click it and look under the security tab and viola'
there you have it, as long as you don't clean your cookies often, I believe.
Give him the test Bill. He will pass. lets move forward fuk this chit.
Dog, chill....it's all good. Remember that your customers are reading what you just wrote. Baby steps.
Kim, have you cleaned any roofs yet? Dont forget to practice with yours and family, and take those pictures!!
Not yet, just stripping and replacing them for 27 yrs, but the transition will be soon, as Randy physically is running on fumes doing the labor everyday.
And yes there will be photos and videos done, and I have a few things in the works right now, that will give us a big jump start into the field.
Maybe I had this wrong and a moderator could clarify as I am confused a bit, (as many roof cleaning Students have minimal postings 4-5 postings )yet according to what the requirements are from the roof cert. section this is what I have used as a guide. Maybe a typo or something ?
Roof Cleaning Certification has started at RCIA !
The RCIA Forum "keeps track" of your posts. Here is how it works. 0 - 5 posts - Roof Cleaning Newbie 6 to 24 posts - Roof Cleaning Apprentice 25 to99 posts - Roof Cleaning Student 100 to499 posts - Certified Roof Cleaner-{when verbal test is passed} 500 or More posts - Certified Master Roof Cleaning Instructor !
In addition, to the 100 post requirement, you must pass a verbal roof cleaning test administered by our CertifiedMaster Roof Cleaning Instructors.
Well it is all about the posts auto count name change. The student part was probably turned off and we stayed with apprentices for now. I changed your title to student. You guys are well on your way to learning the right way. You will remain a student until you get some roofs cleaned and we can certify you.
Randy/ Kim what part of michigan do you guys cover? We are in Toledo. Can help you get started if you need sources for your supplies. Thanks, Doug Toledo Roof Cleaning
