I have read alot of post on here and also over at pressuretek. im ready to make a purchase on a roof setup and i have emailed lori with no response. i havent had time to call her during the day as i work fulltime. im looking to start this part. im pretty set on startup capital and already have a trailer and truck to work out off. I'm wanting to buy a kit i guess you could say to start so im not spending a month to get all the parts i need. all i want to do is plumb to my tank and start business. i was wanting to see what other companies out there sell kits other than what was on pressuretek to compare prices. I'm just wanting to do roof cleaning and gutter cleaning to start. may do a house wash if customer wants it buy using the roof pump. I'm ready to make purchase so if any equipment distributors have a package send me a email or post here.
Welcome to the board, there is many threads about electric 12 volt pumps, air pumps, and the whole set up. Many started out with 12 volt pumps and still use them, than some move up to air pumps as we did but then you will need the right air compressor with the correct cfm. Pressure tek is a good source for 12 volt delavan pumps plus Lori from pressure washer services has set up for air pumps, if you can get her to return emails or phone calls, good luck on the phone calls. Use the search like you have been also for your mix of love you want to use, there is a few different mixes you can use. We only use SH, water and ammoxy-lo now for roof cleaning and works great for us. Good luck and welcome.
I had heard about using a small pump and being hooked up to the customers outside tap. Is this a good way to start? I'd like to fit a small system into my existing work van so I can add this service w/out needing to get a trailer to pull around. Here's a video of my set up right now -

I just bought two 5850s from lori I want to hook one up but I have a question. I have a few galvanized fitings I want to put on the inlit side of the pump. Will the sh rust the galvanized parts and harm the pump. Its only three peices a 1/2'' t and two 3'' nipples or should I switch them to s.s.

Tony, putting sodium Hypochlorite in an enclosed van will most likely cause you to be breathing chlorine fumes every day. I tried this before it was no fun. SH is a gas and a liquid so it is a little different than other chems.
Jetstream, please give us a real name and a bio. The galvanized will rust out very fast. Try stainless, brass or schedule 80pvc or pvdf fittings.
