Spraying too much ???

First of all, THANKS a million for all the info on this site. I've been reading and setting up for about two weeks and did my first two jobs this weekend. I used Apple cider recipe. Both houses came clean, but I think I used too much mix. I sprayed 160 gallons for 5500 sq ft??? Am I not mixing it thick enough, strong enough?? Any thoughts? Chemicals were bought from UNIVAR and seemed to be hot.

What was your exact mix? What was the pitch of the roof?

Fill out your signature please so we know who you are and where you are from.

15 gallons - SH
25 gallons - water
5# - tsp
96 oz - alcohol
48 oz - dawn

Both roofs were 12/12.

I'll do the signature now, thanks>

I promise if you're buying from Univar by Hobby its not very hot Sh. You'll need to bump your mix up. Ive been buying from them for 3 years. On a 12/12 2500sqft house here in Houston 80gl isnt un-heard of.

You were saying both houses combined were 5500 sqft right? with practice you could use less im sure. And that mix you posted is only for 40 gallons. Do you just have a small tank and have to mix multiple times?

You're a little heavy on the alcohol and light on the dawn.

Did you use regular Ultra concentrated dawn?

For a 40 gallon mix I'd use no more than 64 oz. IPA

Double your dawn for a 12/12 pitch.

Try the new myristamine oxide.

It's so thick you can use 32 ounces/40gallon mix for a 12/12 pitch.

myristamine oxide. How is that working for you? So you use about two quarts to 40 gallons of mix?

Personally, I can do two average homes on 100gal with enough left over to clean flat work as well. (adding a lil more water)

I agree! Maybe less depending on the amount of algae growth.

My 24ft trailer had 4 275 gallon tanks in it, so I was carrying about 1000 gallons with60 40 mix. I did 4 houses with pool and driveways and a penthouse on the 6th floor and had about 50 gallons left when done. The houses ranged from 3000 to 5500 sq. ft.. Very nice jobs 5 days of work.

one quart for 12/12 pitch.  32oz = 1 quart.

one pint for walkable roofs. 16oz = 1 pint.
