Just starting out and looking at using Simple Cherry as a vinyl siding wash. Anybody have any pros and cons? Can it be used for gutters also? What about Gutter Grenade?

We don't know anything about washing houses, this is a roof cleaning forum? but you can try to use the search button at the top, just plug in key words.
What the heck is Simple Cherry ?

Simple cherry is greta soap to use for house washing. Not so good for roofs. Gutter grenade works great for gutters too, just make sure you use it in the recommended dilutions.
Please excuse the gibberish up above, some people out there just don't have a clue and he does not speak for any of us thank goodness. hahaha
Simple Cherry is one of the best soaps I have found for washing houses whether they are wood, vinyl, brick, stucco, etc.....
I usually use 1 cup into 5 gallons of love then downstream onto surface, dwell then rinse.
I get it from the only place that makes it.......Bob at PressureTek.

Though my main focus is roof cleaning. Brother Sullivan on here made a good point of being equipped to take on other services the customer may require, such as cleaning siding. It sound like this Simple Cherry would be a good siding cleaner with a powerwasher?
I have used the delavan a lot to wash siding. It has gotten me many jobs because of the no pressure spiel. All you need is to get the soap on the surface. I have also used Simple Cherry to clean metal roofs. Plus it is a powder that goes a long way.
So Chris have you ever applied it using your pump? or is the power washer a better way of applying and if so why may I ask ?
Dave
I mostly downstream it using my pressure washer but I use large nozzles like the 2540 and the 1540 and 0040.
These are larger orifice nozzles that lower the pressure quite a bit so you can put your hand in front of the stream of the fan pattern spray coming out so that is soft washing, no damage to property. The 0040 is to reach the higher areas like 2nd and 3rd story eaves and walls.
I prefer these nozzles to regular black soap tips because I have 5 different black soap nozzles that I have got from vendors over the years and no 2 of them are the same, some have larger orifices, some wider fan patterns, etc.... The nozzles I use are consistent.
I have done a few house washes with my Bandit Roller pump (6gpm at 150psi) and those came out great but that is on my roof washing trailer and a lot of times I am also cleaning concrete so I need the pressure washer for that.
If you were going to use a delavan then you have to experiment with the ratios to try to equal a downstream injector so I would try like a 5:1 to 10:1 ratio.
In other words You would put 1 cup of Simple Cherry into a 5 gallon of love. Put that 5 gallon of love into 25 gallons of water and mix using the delavan (put the outlet hose into the tank and let it run for a little bit or use something to stir it up good). That might be enough for some houses, too much for others.
You can also do lesser amounts for smaller houses but you have to work with the ratios and amounts to kill the mold, mildew and algae.

We use it day in and day out for house washing. Hard to beat it for a good all around detergent. Has water softeners for easy rinsing too. Tried it in Roof mix in a pinch for some cling but it really isn't meant for that. I try to keep ANY Powder out of my roof mix and pump.
Downstreaming it is by far the most efficient way to apply. Concentrated chems take up less space than final mixed chems. Applying direct would require alot of tank.

Thanks for the info. I talked to Pressure Tek and ordered some. Going to give it a try for vinyl siding. Bob from Pressure Tek told me I could use it on roofs. He said most guys he sells it to use 50 oz to 100 gal of mix. From the other post it doesn't sound like it did so well.

I have been getting prices for Billy Bob. 53 gal drum for $654. Is that the going rate? I really wanted to start off with a smaller quantity I found another local supplier that sells Barlox 12 and says it is a direct offset. Same size drum for $350.00 Anyone ever hear of it?
My supplier of Billy Bob only sells the drums. I have been talking to Lori about ammonyx m. She sells it in 5 gal. Anyone use it? What type of mix ratio. vs Billy Bob?

I had tried using the Simple Cherry on roof mixes and it did not really help with the cleaning so I keep it just for house washing.
This is a good thread, looks like people are interested in the Simple Cherry and looks like some will be trying it out.
Just goes to show that just because someone has not heard of something or just wants to spout off, there are others out there wanting to learn about new things that can help them earn money to support their families.

Thanks for explaining that, I am on the same page now. hahahahaha
The Amonyx Lo is a great product! Probably one of the best things I have heard about in a while!
I got in some of the Amonyx M and want to try that out as soon as I get a chance, I am sure that it will be good stuff also.
Thanks again.

Got an update for you on ammonyx lo vs ammonyx mo.
My chemical supplier says that ammonyx lo was made for cleaning roofs and such. He said it has been around for 10 years or so.
Ammonyx mo is similar product but was tweaked a bit to be used in personal care items, shampo etc.
He doesn't sell Barlox 12 but said it is the same chemical compound as Ammonyx lo but made by a different manufacturer. I got the price for it from a different supplier in town, which is where I got the much lower price of $350 for 53 gallons.
Hey Dave want to split a drum?

From what I understand, the Amonyx Lo is thinner than the Amonyx M.
The Amonyx M cost more but you use 1/3 as much as the Amonyx Lo.
The Amonyx Lo is good for all kinds of roofs but for the very steep roofs use the Amonyx M.
I have been using 1 quart of the Amonyx Lo into a 50 gallon tank of roof mix, more for the steeper roofs.
I am guessing that 1/3 to 1/2 quart of the Amonyx M for the steeper roofs.
