Does the love hurt the gutter sealant used on end caps and inside/outside mitre strips when it runs into the gutter.
I don't think it would hurt it, it silicone based, and I'm pretty sure if people here are using silicone to seal floors of their trailers against SH, the gutter sealant should withstand it.
Generally that gutter sealant will be made of rubber buetyl. For the highest quality service and to ensure the longest possible life for the sealant, you should rinse the gutters out along with the bottom three feet of roof. Many people do not do this and the gutters still do not leak. The Sodium Hypochlorite will do the most damage to anything the longer it is in contact with the substrate in question. The real problem with gutter sealants is that they tend to release from the gutter over time due to expansion and contraction as the sealant looses elasticity. This will usually cause a gutter sealant to fail long before any roof cleaning chemicals could be exposed to it enough times to cause the failure. Due to this gutter sealants need to be resealed regularly just like flashing sealants made of tar.
