In a previous life I ran a business that was very much dependant on website advertising.

I ran into many thoughts on whether to run "specials" for website viewers only.
You know, printable coupons for $$ off, % discounts, or free "add-on" services.

I'm working on the new website now and I'm considreing this mainly for 1 reason.

I want them to READ as much info as they can about what's happening on their roof.
I think with as many infected roofs as I see around people just don't know.
I was wondering if they might read about it a little more with a "special" offer waiting for them when they do.

Any thoughts on this?

I run an add on yahoo for the spring that I give a 10% discount and to some of my customers that 10% has made the difference for me to get the job instead of my competition.

I recommend plenty of pictures mixed with "bullet" type of info. Then you can have a link from the bullet to more detailed paragraph of info. Gotta get their attention quick...

I think I'm going to put a link on my FAQ page or perhaps code it into another area where if the read to a certain point or whatever that a link is available to a hidden page that has a 10% coupon or free driveway PW with roof clean, or something like it.

We have a few coupons listed, and clients rarely notice and/or print them. More often than not, we get asked about senior discounts. AAA members get 10% off a lot of services, so we figure that's a fair discount for seniors. We don't actively advertise discounts though. Our knowledge and guarantee sell more jobs than discounts.

I rarely get calls from my web specials as well..... could be that not enough people are seeing them? But I still put them in as many places and sites as possible to help build familiarity with Curb Appeal of the Southeast.

The only place I will run web specials is on my Merchant Circle page. It usually shows up pretty well in the search results when you create a coupon.

Nobody has ever printed on and given it to me.
