If those are tsp stains you need car buffing compound. Rub it while wet and rinse a lot.

The window is etched and a scraper will not remove it. You need an abrasive like Morgan said. Go get some rubbing compound, the courser one at the auto store. Or if your real lucky they will actually have glass buffing compound there.

What you have there son is hard water stains.
You will need a diluted acid, Try Phosphoric acid or Hydrochloric acid, there is a product called
"safe restore" from Winsol that will help remove that use a "white" scrubbing pad only to scrub the glass

Get some Cerium Oxide, a wool buffing pad and a drill and polish away

DO NOT SCRAPE THIS GLASS! you will only scratch it

and charge them a handsome price to do it, by removing these stains you are saving them hundreds if not thousands of dollars in replacement glass,

sorry, I was in a bit of a panic when I posted. The stains were from a sprinkler, not my wash mix.

A holiday is a pretty lousy day to get chemicals, so I had to settle for over the counter medicine. A combination of 'Lime Away' and "clorox toilet cleaner for mineral stains" and a lot of buffing seemed to remove the bulk of the deposits. I can still see "ghost spots", but its not nearly a bad at it was.

also,what's odd is hard water deposit attacked the windows, nut the brick is fine...go figure

Try white vinegar

or if that doesn't work use dawn and get it good and wash it off with steel wool 4 zero pad

you can try acids too if you have any handy they will work without a doubt if you have the right stuff and no what you are doing.

no matter what you use rinse until there are no more suds at all.

You also can try greasing it off with whatever you have, olive oil, WD40 or something
this trick is best with a heavy greaser like bacon fat or butter. It does depend on what this is from though. What was your mix?

If you are in a pinch, you can buy a product called "Bar Keepers Friend". It is used to polish stainless steel and other things. It contails Oxallic Acid and has some real mild abrasives like polishing compound does. It even lists glass cleaning as one of it's uses.

They sell it at most grocery stores.

Blue and Gold can looks like ajax! I keep that in my box of tricks, good for light rust stains in skechy areas.

I think they make the liquid now too.

Thought i'd share pictures of the whole job after it was done.

Oh, believe it of not, that "windex outddor" window cleaner has done a decent job of removing the water spots on the windows. This job has been a complete bear. Some of the hardest water i've ever seen. Every rinse has left tons of water spots on the windows.

I keep atleast 2 containers of oxalic acid in my truck. I use it for wood brightening, concrete brightening, and if needed rust removal and who knows what else.

Crystal Clear 550 by Winsol Labs is the best product by far. The only thing is you have to make sure you don't apply it to the tin side of the glass (side that's suppose to be on the inside.) You also have to wear chemical resistant glove since hydroflouric and hydrochlorite acid are it's main ingredient.
